Brian Carlson
I am glad you found me. I’m here to help you. I might be the therapist for you if: you're struggling after experiencing traumatic events or loss, professional burnout or compassion fatigue are getting in the way at home and work, or if you find yourself struggling to get through the day because of low energy and little interest or too much anxiety.
I specialize in treating first responders, military veterans, foreign-aid workers, nurses, and other caregivers experiencing PTSD, compassion fatigue and burnout, complex grief, and men’s mental health including depression and anxiety.
Everyone’s journey is unique. For that reason, I am trained in client-centered therapies non-judgementally helping clients wherever they be on their journey. I also use several evidence based therapies including acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), grief therapy, trauma therapy and mindfulness based interventions.
I help people work toward their goals of finding understanding, stability, and direction. I can help reduce the intensity of painful memories and difficulty emotions. Therapy can improve relationships and improve the overall quality of life. I help transform grief and trauma and other life circumstances into inspiration to open a new chapter of life.
