When was the last time you had a moment to take a step back and think about if you're living the life you actually want to live? That third (or fifth, or seventh) cup of coffee may help you keep your head above water, but it can't give you the space or energy to figure out where to start, let alone where to go. Therapy is a space to figure out what’s not working, and give you the tools you need to build the life you want. More than that, therapy can be the space to figure out how you can be the person that you really want to be. You deserve therapy that is tailored exactly to you, because your goals and your dreams are unique. I specialize in working with people struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, and eating disorders, and especially those who identify as LGBTQ+. We'll work together to help you process and overcome the pain and obstacles that keep you from being the person that you want to be, so that you can fully participate in and enjoy your own life. Brandon Sanderson wrote "the most important step a person can take is always the next one." You've already taken the first one by looking at therapists to contact! If you think I'll be a good fit for you, send me an email to set up a free consultation. You don't have to take the next steps alone.
I believe that we each possess a great deal of wisdom that offers guidance in simple (though not necessarily easy) ways for us to embody. Therapy can offer time and space to be heard, seen, and supported exactly as you are, so that you may find a way to move towards where you would like to go. Whatever brings you to therapy, my intention is to hold an open, curious and safe space for you to connect more deeply with your experience and for us to collaborate in finding ways to support you. Some of my areas of interest and experience include: life transitions, anxiety and depression, grief, relationship challenges, self-doubt/"inner critic" and perfectionism, searching for life goals and directions, personal growth. I was trained in Somatic Psychotherapy and also have a background in bodywork, approaching therapy from a holistic lens that welcomes the whole person.
I have 20 years of experience working in the field of psychiatry. During this time I worked as a medical director for college mental health center and for the transitional program for young adults. I believe that college students benefit tremendously from the right support, offered at the right time to help them become successful adults.

I'm an educational psychologist who specializes in assessment and coaching. I assess for learning disabilities, ADHD, ASD, and other mental health issues that get in the way of learning or being successful at school. I can help you understand your learning profile and help you both get and be able to effectively utilize accommodations to support you at your school. I also am an ADHD specialist and I do "executive function coaching" which is basically coaching to help you manage your life from your homework, to your life at home, to your job. Additionally I can help you explore and prepare for your transition to post secondary education or to work. Many students do not know what they want to do once they leave high school or college. I can help you explore your options and choose a route. Think of me as your wellness coach for education and young adulthood success!

The origins of many psychotherapeutic approaches come from a Eurocentric and Male perspective. The very history of psychology as well as current diagnostic criteria are guided by Eurocentric standards. Intersectionality challenges the history of psychology, the therapeutic approaches, as well as the DSM (the therapist "bible") by encouraging a clinician to take a step back and look at all the identities that present with each and every client. Intersectionality in therapy allows for a more well rounded and appropriate form of treatment that takes into account the impact of discrimination on our emotional well being as well as the resiliency and strength that can come with our identities

If you’re feeling tired of patterns that no longer serve you and ready to face what’s been holding you back, you’re not alone. Many people reach a point where they want more than survival—they want clarity, peace, rest, and a healthier relationship with themselves/equipped to thrive in relationships with others. Therapy can be a space to move forward mindfully, let go of unhelpful coping strategies, and begin building a life that feels more aligned, balanced, and authentic. I’m a counselor with a deep commitment to helping people navigate the complex, often painful moments that life can bring. Life doesn’t always unfold the way we imagined. Struggles like anxiety, addiction, or simply feeling stuck can leave us overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. If you’re experiencing that, you’re not alone. I’m here to help you uncover what might be holding you back—whether it’s unresolved trauma, the stress of change, or a buildup of emotional weight that’s become too heavy to carry on your own. My therapeutic approach draws from depth psychology, with a strong emphasis on emotional processing and attachment. Together, we’ll work toward building a more compassionate relationship with yourself—one that creates room for healing, growth, and renewed possibility. I hold two Master’s degrees in Counseling Psychology—one from the University of Kansas and another from Pacifica Graduate Institute—and my approach is grounded in both academic training and a genuine passion for this work. I believe that meaningful therapy starts with feeling safe, seen, and supported. The process of change can be challenging, but it doesn’t have to be something you face alone. I’m here to walk alongside you as we gently explore the patterns and experiences that have shaped your life—and to help you move toward the life you want to create. If you’re curious about working together, I offer a free 15-minute consultation by phone. It’s a chance for us to connect and see if we’re a good fit.

I'm a therapist for people whose lives have been flipped upside down by a diagnosis, injury or disability. Check out my website to learn more about me and what I do!
I very much enjoy working with college students in helping them navigate this time of transition from home to independent adulthood. Many college students I work with experience anxiety, chronic worrying, overwhelm, perfectionism, self-criticism, social anxiety, low self-esteem, distractibility, relationship issues, depression, academic struggles, feeling lost or unsure of their career path, and other obstacles that get in the way of reaching their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. However, many students I work with find that these obstacles to be growth opportunities to develop greater self-awareness, inner alignment, and transformation that can lead to a more fulfilling, effective, and satisfying experiences in college and thereafter. Although this time in life can bring forth challenges that may seem insurmountable at times, I have generally experienced college students to be very insightful, bright, and resilient, and because of this, I delight in working with them! In addition to psychotherapy, I specialize in providing testing and assessments. Some college students often come to me because they have been diagnosed with a learning difference or ADHD in the past and they need an updated evaluation. Other college students come to me because they suspect they may have an undiagnosed learning difference or ADHD. Because of this, they would like to better understand their learning profile, including strengths and weaknesses, in order to receive the best support, such as specialized tutoring, executive functioning coaching, and accommodations on tests and assignments. I have been providing different types of assessments for several decades and in various contexts, and many students currently come to me from UCSF's dyslexia center, where I am listed as a referral: https://dyslexia.ucsf.edu/resources. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions regarding therapy or assessments. I am happy to provide you a free 30-mintue phone consultation!

We’re here to help anyone struggling with mental health to accelerate the healing process through music. Our founder Marlys Woods spent years using music to identify her emotions, but as she learned more about therapy, she realized that the one thing she relied on most to help her, was also keeping her stuck in unproductive, negative emotional states. Our mission is to teach everyone struggling with mental health how to stop using this powerful tool on a surface level, and start using music to create healthy life changes. We're working towards a society where we all know how to feel and face emotions and get to a place of freedom.
