Therapists for college students near Boulder, CO
As a deeply empathetic clinician, I am honored to guide you through your mental health journey. My specialties include helping men, women, and teens navigate life changes, negative self-image, and relationships. I embrace a direct and empowering style, as I believe in the power of the therapeutic alliance, which helps me be your biggest supporter. I look forward to being that source of support for you, collaborating and growing in our work together. In our time together, you can expect a warm and safe environment tailored to your unique goals, as I’m passionate about the belief that healing happens when we feel secure enough to understand ourselves with curiosity rather than criticism. That’s why my approach is always warm, empowering, and grounded in the belief that you know yourself best. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) are two treatments we may explore to help you better understand your behaviors and feelings. My own work in therapy showed me firsthand the value in working with an empathetic therapist during times of emotional upheaval, and how empowering it can be to lean more deeply into who we are as individuals. This knowledge strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate care to each of my patients, allowing me to bring a unique perspective to every session thanks, in great part, to the breadth of my life experiences. When I’m not seeing patients, I love being outdoors with my family, learning and exploring new things (including trying new restaurants!), and watching classic movies from the 80s and 90s. I’m also an avid reader, specifically anything Agatha Christie.

Hi, I'm Margaret! I offer online therapy services to folks located anywhere in Colorado. As your therapist, I care deeply about you as a human being. And I'm here to be a soft place to land - where all versions of you feel safe, seen, and heard. I provide a warm and comforting space, so you can share your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. I specialize in helping clients navigate relationships (dating, break-ups, communication, etc.), anxiety and stress, college and graduate school challenges, & identity exploration. Therapy with me is a space for you to be exactly as you are and show up with whatever you've got that day, and we'll explore it together at a pace that feels good to you. I work with adults, college and graduate students, and the lgbtq+ population. My vibe in session is down-to-earth, collaborative, and low pressure. I practice from a relational approach, which means I view the relationship between you and I as the heart of the healing process! I'll meet you wherever you are, and support you in finding the answers within. While I can't take away what you're going through, I can provide a sense of grounded-ness amongst the "storm". You're worthy of feeling present, empowered, and free. Contact me to schedule your free consultation, or with any questions you have. Feel free to check out my website and instagram/tiktok (margdavistherapy) to learn more. Thanks so much!
Hi, I'm Angela! I'm here to help. Let me ask you: Does your life not quite feel the same? Are you finding it hard to cope? Are you struggling with relationships, having work or school difficulties, going through a life transition, maybe a loss, or continually trying to overcome a past trauma? Despite your best efforts, you're feeling tired, anxious, stressed, confused, depressed, angry, or afraid. You just can't seem to find the answers. Well, I'm here to help you navigate the changes and uncertainties in your life so you can build your confidence, find answers, and take charge of your life in a meaningful way. I can provide a safe, trusting, and nonjudgmental atmosphere to guide you on a journey to build new tools, discover your truth, overcome obstacles, gain clarity, and heal. I will do that by using compassion, curiosity, empathy, and a little bit of humor along the way. My areas of expertise are trauma, relationship issues, self-esteem, and life changes. I want you to find the best fit for your needs, and I encourage you to check out my website and reach out to me to discuss whether we're a good match. I feel it is important to take the time to identify your options before scheduling an appointment with any therapist. I look forward to hearing from you!
I work with college students and young adults who feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, overthinking, performance pressure, and emotional shutdown — even when they are capable and motivated. Many of the students I support struggle with test anxiety, presentations, interviews, perfectionism, panic symptoms, or the sense that their nervous system goes into “fight or flight” under pressure. Others experience anxiety and depression together, which can affect motivation, focus, and connection. My approach is neuroscience-informed and practical. I use evidence-based therapies including EMDR, ACT, CBT, Polyvagal-informed therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies to help clients regulate their nervous system, reduce reactivity, and build confidence in real-world situations. I provide a supportive, structured space where students can develop tools to manage stress, improve emotional regulation, and move forward with greater clarity and resilience

Sarah believes each of us possess an inner strength and wisdom that when discovered can open us up to a world of possibilities. Using a compassionate and empowering treatment approach, she will work side-by-side with you to help you live life with more intention and vitality. Sarah believes in working with you as a whole person mind, body and spirit. With that in mind, she’ll use a holistic perspective, drawing from a variety of empowering and evidence-based treatment approaches including but not limited to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Somatic Based Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to tailor a healing plan best suited to your needs. Helping you navigate the complexities of life is something Sarah feels passionate about. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Yoga Teacher (E-RYT), she has experience working with a wide array of presenting concerns and specializes in working with adults who present with trauma/PTSD, anxiety/panic and depression. She also enjoys helping clients connect with their authentic sense of self, find balance in their lives, and improve their relationships and overall connection with others.
I believe that in order to truly be able to help my clients I must always present as my authentic self. What that means is that you can expect me to share my honest thoughts and opinions, to be direct & concise, to incorporate humor as often as possible, and I won’t shy away from discomfort or conflict. While at the same time balancing that by providing you with unconditional positive regard, empathy, and support. I 100% believe that in order for therapy to be effective the client-therapist relationship must be genuine and both parties must carry mutual respect and trust for each other. This is something I strive to create and build-up starting from our first several interactions; as well as something I work hard to maintain up until our very last session. I am trauma informed therapist that specializes in working with professionals in the helping field (ie. first responders, educators, nurses, therapists, etc), with parents and children with behavioral issues, and have extensive experience working with BIPOC, immigrants, and AAPI communities. In our first session, we'll talk through what brought you in and get clear on what you want to walk away with — so we're aligned on what this space is for and what my role will be. Together we'll build a plan with intention and direction, not open-ended sessions that drift. Over time, the goal isn't just to feel less anxious or triggered. It's to trust yourself again, hold your story with compassion, and move through the world without needing to translate yourself.
As a trauma-informed therapist, my work centers on identity, healing, and relational transformation for adults working to reclaim clarity, autonomy, and emotional wellness. Whether you're navigating coercive relationships, trauma, identity loss, or a major life transition, this is a space where your experiences are genuinely understood and validated. Many of the people I work with are seeking emotional safety, healthier relationships, and a stronger sense of self after experiencing emotionally harmful dynamics, including divorce, narcissistic abuse, domestic violence, cult experiences, or religious and spiritual trauma. These are experiences that can be difficult to put into words, and you deserve a therapist who not only understands them but can help you make sense of what you've been through. At the heart of my approach is a deep belief in our innate human need to be authentic and free. That belief shapes how I show up for you, as a supportive, grounding presence dedicated to helping you reclaim your life, your identity, and your autonomy. Collaboration, curiosity, and a deep respect for your autonomy shape the way I work with you. Every session is built on a foundation of trust and honesty, in a space that is warm, nonjudgmental, and genuinely supportive of wherever you are in your journey. Using relational and trauma-informed approaches, we'll work together to help you better understand and reconnect with yourself, process painful experiences, and build healthier patterns in your relationships and daily life. I tailor everything to your unique needs and goals, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all framework. What matters most is that you feel genuinely seen, especially in experiences that others may not fully understand. Coercive control, emotional abuse, and relational trauma are areas I'm particularly drawn to and well-versed in. For many people, simply feeling validated in these experiences is a meaningful first step. My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by both personal and professional experiences that showed me, firsthand, how profoundly relationships and social influence shape our emotional well-being and sense of self. These experiences didn't just inform my clinical focus — they deepened my commitment to creating a therapeutic space where people feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. Warmth, insight, and an authentic relational presence are what I bring to every session. This work is not just a career; it's a calling rooted in a genuine desire to walk alongside you as you find your way back to yourself. Outside of sessions, you'll often find me reading, writing, or diving into investigative journalism. Hobbies that keep me both curious and grounded. Hiking offers a different kind of reset, one that connects me to the world in a way that carries over into how I show up for the people I work with.
Many people come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or exhausted from carrying the same stress, grief, relationship struggles, or emotional pain for far too long. You may feel frustrated that despite your efforts, the same patterns keep showing up in your relationships, communication feels difficult, burnout has taken over, or life no longer feels sustainable in the way it once did. Some clients come in feeling anxious, emotionally drained, lost in a major life transition, or unsure how to reconnect with themselves or the people they love. If this sounds like you, I'm glad you're here. I specialize in working with young adults and couples experiencing relationship distress, emotional disconnection, attachment injury, burnout, betrayal trauma, separation, and major life transitions. I also support women navigating pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, identity shifts, and the emotional challenges that can come with these changes. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process rooted in honesty, connection, and compassion. Using a person-centered, attachment-based approach, I work alongside clients to explore the emotions and patterns keeping them stuck. Together, we work toward healing, healthier relationships, and greater overall balance, hope, and fulfillment.
Does it feel like you're stuck living in survival mode, anxious, isolated, or battling that critical inner voice that's always telling you you're not good enough? I help young adults learn to be fully present and comfortable in who they are, with confidence and tools for healthy living. I work with people who have experienced adverse life events, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, body insecurity, and those looking to explore their identity. I provide queer and neuro-affirming care, honoring intersectionality of diverse identities and life experiences. Im a Level 2 Certified Clinical Trauma Professional who specializes in helping teens and adults grow their confidence, foster self acceptance, and build healthy, meaningful connections. I utilize integrative, evidence-based mind- body treatments to reduce stress and create more inner balance for nervous system regulation and resilience building. My practice is rooted in principles of empowerment, inclusion, and justice. If you're looking for a therapist who is compassionate, has a sense of humor, uses effective techniques, and is here to help you truly get better and make real changes in your life, please reach out.
I am originally from California, but have called Colorado (Denver) my home for the last thirteen years. While I do miss the ocean, I love being in the mountains and all they have to offer. When I am not working, I am often playing in my garden, doing something in the kitchen, spending time with friends and family, or traveling. I am the same person during session as I am outside of session; laid back, a little goofy, genuinely curious about others’ lives, and compassionate. I use she/her pronouns. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) and am licensed to see clients in Colorado, Indiana, Florida and Nevada. I have been practicing therapy since 2013 and truly enjoy working with my clients. I love learning about how trauma and stress can impact our minds, bodies and nervous systems and the ways we can heal and start to feel better. I am a Certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist as well as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP). I often use a mixture of EMDR, Somatic Experiencing (SE), attachment, parts focused, and mindfulness techniques to help clients begin to unpack stressful or traumatic events and begin to integrate a sense of healing back into their minds and bodies. These techniques can be helpful for clients struggling with anxiety and depression symptoms, who have experienced one or more traumatic events, substance use, emotion regulation, or uncomfortable body sensations.
