At Whole Connection we take Medicaid and work on a sliding scale. We provide high quality, accessible psychotherapy to Boulder County. Our team is made up of skilled therapists who provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy. In addition to outpatient therapy we offer a Trauma Recovery and Care program. Our Trauma Recovery and Care program is designed for individuals who are struggling to take control of their lives because they feel dictated by feelings that are deeply connected to their past. If you have been diagnosed with PTSD or you suspect that PTSD is underlying your current symptoms, this could be for you. We believe that all people should have access to Therapy, by clinicians and interns who are continually trained and educated and who are also taken care of (not overworked). In doing so we try and meet the needs of those of the community who come to see us by either sliding our fees or accepting medicaid insurance. Lastly we aim to provide free and affordable trainings for the larger community and clinicians to continue to learn and grow. We also take Victim's Compensation.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and Texas and a Licensed Addiction Counselor in Colorado I have made the commitment to help others as they face adversity so as to develop a loving and compassionate relationship with themselves. I bring a wealth of experience and specialized training in addictions and mental health to my practice and there is one common theme I have noticed throughout my career, which is our self-talk. We are our own worst enemies, and this wreaks havoc on our self-esteem. My therapeutic approach is person centered, non-judgmental, and collaborative. I tailor my counseling to each individual client and will use several interventions in practice. I am well versed in CBT, DBT, and MI. I also have a background utilizing Positive Psychology, SFBT, and Crisis Intervention. I invite you to a different therapeutic experience where I'll meet you where you are at. By providing a safe and supportive environment, my goal is to provide a holistic and person-centered therapeutic experience where you become empowered to build resilience, achieve personal growth, and become better equipped to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.

I specialize in working with neurodivergent individuals with autism, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and ADHD. I take a neuropositive perspective, which means I want my clients to understand and embrace their neurodivergence while also building awareness of some of the aspects of their neurodivergence that can limit them at times (i.e. mental inflexibility). My approach is warm and empathetic, however I also believe in being direct with my clients and in challenging them to push themselves towards growth and resilience. I use a blend of modalities tailored to the needs of the individual. I like to use rating scales to better understand my clients' areas of strength and need. I believe in setting and resetting goals as therapy progresses. This means I like to remind my clients of our focus, evaluate progress and whether or not the goal still makes sense for them, and adjust accordingly. My hope is that you will better understand yourself and why you do what you do. My goal is that you will gain skills and perspective to be able to effectively cope with the challenges life brings.

Hi, I'm Angela! I'm here to help. Let me ask you: Does your life not quite feel the same? Are you finding it hard to cope? Are you struggling with relationships, having work or school difficulties, going through a life transition, maybe a loss, or continually trying to overcome a past trauma? Despite your best efforts, you're feeling tired, anxious, stressed, confused, depressed, angry, or afraid. You just can't seem to find the answers. Well, I'm here to help you navigate the changes and uncertainties in your life so you can build your confidence, find answers, and take charge of your life in a meaningful way. I can provide a safe, trusting, and nonjudgmental atmosphere to guide you on a journey to build new tools, discover your truth, overcome obstacles, gain clarity, and heal. I will do that by using compassion, curiosity, empathy, and a little bit of humor along the way. My areas of expertise are trauma, relationship issues, self-esteem, and life changes. I want you to find the best fit for your needs, and I encourage you to check out my website and reach out to me to discuss whether we're a good match. At times, life is filled with authenticity, laughter, and fun. Other times it can be demanding, draining, and leave us feeling unsure. The highs and lows of life are normal and we all feel it, but at times we need extra support and space, and that is okay! As your therapist, my main goal is to provide an open, safe and accepting place for all to navigate life. Through deconstructing unhelpful beliefs, utilizing art and play to aid in emotional expression and increasing self-compassion, my hope is to find unique ways to support your or you child's journey to better mental health. In the space we create together, I hope to sit along side you/your child to collaborate on ways to reach the goals you have for yourself. Through an eclectic, person-centered approach I help people (ages 3-25) increase their positive engagement in life by managing life transitions, processing trauma, and assisting with general mental health care. If you were on a hike, you would want a really good fitting pair of hiking boots...think of choosing a therapist like that! If I might be that therapist for you please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions to see if we are the best fit for you. I look forward to supporting you in the best way I can.

My goal is to help you find new ways to relate to the world and to enable you to embrace your experiences more fully and bravely. I hope to do this by creating a safe, open, and collaborative environment where you can experiment with new ways of relating to yourself and others. I bring in skills from therapies, such as ACT and DBT, to help you find your strengths and develop your resources. And I recognize that the most growth occurs in an authentic relationship which balances compassion with challenge and emphasizes social justice and intersectionality. Having recovered from an eating disorder, I approach my work from a Health-at-Every-Size and fat-positive framework. All bodies are good bodies, all foods are good foods, and all emotions are valid. I also have experience working with interpersonal trauma, grief, relationship struggles, disordered eating and body image concerns, and identity development, as well as anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns.

I see myself as a fellow traveler with my clients. The anti-oppressive and feminist framework I utilize in therapy is also deeply personal. My lived experience as a neurospicy woman, questioning hetero/mononormativity in relationships, embracing my queerness, tending to my grief and trauma, and in recovery from substance use is also present as part of my professional self. I cherish the privilege to be here with you! I dedicate my work to helping clients discover new strategies to more gently carry their lived experiences. Most especially: managing life transitions and existential crises; exploring neurodivergence; navigating chronic illness; relational ruptures; seeking answers about identity and belonging in queer spaces; grief; self-image challenges; exiting high-control relationships; transitioning out of endurance athletics; sensory sensitivities; climate grief/anxiety. Many clients receive me as a consistent, supportive presence who allows for space for what is, and offers mindful posing of questions that generate reflections and expand your perspective. My therapy "room" is also an open lab for exploring what comes up in the here-and-now, which opens you up for experiencing relational repair and growth. I hope our therapeutic relationship helps you to feel more authentic, empowered, and connected to your own essence.

If you’re looking for a therapist who will support your growth with honesty, compassion, and genuine care, you’re in the right place. I work with clients who are ready to make meaningful changes and who want someone to walk alongside them—not just in session, but in the work that happens between sessions too. My approach is grounded in meeting you exactly where you are and collaborating to find solutions that fit your life. I help individuals navigate depression, anxiety, negative self‑talk, and challenges with self‑image, and I specialize in mental health and trauma. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I draw from evidence‑based modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution‑Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I work with adolescents through adults and strive to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered. Taking the first step can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. I would be honored to support you on your healing journey. Let’s start with a free fifteen‑minute introductory call to see how we can work together.

Although college can be a time of excitement and exploration, it can also feel extreme and bring up feelings that can be challenging to sort out on our own. Having the right support can make all the difference. At In Bloom Psychotherapy we are here to support you on this journey exactly as you are, helping you find the tools and resources to provide some relief and a better understanding of yourself. Among other issues, we specialize in working with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, grief, relational issues, depression, college athletes, and outdoor enthusiasts. We incorporate body awareness and mindfulness into sessions because talk therapy alone may not be enough to shift old patterns and create new neural pathways in the brain. Some of our clinicians are trained in EMDR therapy and utilize approaches such as parts work, IFS, DBT, CBT, mindfulness and attachment theory. We know finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming and daunting. If something in this bio resonates with you, please reach out for a free twenty-minute phone consultation.

Many of the clients I work best with are young adults navigating major transitions — starting college, adjusting to new expectations, exploring identity, building relationships, or trying to figure out what comes next. I previously worked at CU Boulder supporting students through the Early Intervention Program and Collegiate Recovery Community, and I understand many of the unique challenges that come with this stage of life. My approach combines traditional therapy with mindfulness and body awareness to help you better understand yourself, manage stress and anxiety, and build a stronger connection with your thoughts, emotions, and needs. Many people come to therapy understanding why they feel stuck but still struggling to create lasting change. Together, we’ll slow down, explore what is happening beneath the surface, and develop greater self-compassion, flexibility, and choice. If you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in old patterns, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, I’d be honored to support you. A free 20-minute consultation is an opportunity to see if working together feels like the right fit.
