I love helping college students navigate the challenges of this phase of life which can be both exciting and scary. I have been in practice for 25+ years and believe in helping young adults develop the best version of themselves. I have experience treating anxiety, depression, grief, self esteem issues, relationship challenges, and general life transitions. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy, in addition to mindfulness practices. I also offer EMDR as a treatment modality when appropriate. My experience as a parent to a current college student and a recent grad has helped me appreciate the nuances of this phase of life from a different perspective. I am a solo practitioner in Wheat Ridge and am currently offering both in person and telehealth appointments. I accept Kaiser and Humana insurance in addition to private pay.

Life sometimes leaves us feeling broken, damaged, and disconnected from our true selves. Maybe you’re in survival mode, fighting just to stay above water. Maybe things feel so overwhelming that you don’t even know what you feel half the time. But you’re ready to make a change. You’re ready to better manage difficult emotions, thoughts, and experiences. You’re ready for growth. Most of all, you’re ready to reconnect…with others, the world around you, and yourself. I want to help you get there. I work with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, and major life transitions like the journey to parenthood or a new career. Therapy sessions with me are a mix of talking, reflection, and practical exercises. We’ll spend time exploring potential roots of your patterns while also focusing on how to create meaningful change in the present. Together, we'll create a nonjudgmental space for you to explore your emotions, develop healthier coping strategies, and work towards meaningful personal growth. I would be honored to help you explore how therapy can support you on your journey.
Hi, I’m Kaila, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker helping college students overcome anxiety, stress, and overwhelm. My approach is collaborative and client-focused, designed to meet you where you are and support your individualized goals.
Are you feeling caught in old patterns, overwhelmed by anxiety, or unsure how to feel confident in your own skin? I specialize in helping adolescents and adults work through addiction, anxiety, ADHD, eating disorders, and body image issues. My goal is to create a supportive space where you can explore challenges, values, and build practical strategies and work towards growth. I bring warmth, humor, and clear guidance to therapy. Cognitive techniques help uncover how thoughts shape emotions and actions, while mindfulness fosters calm and focus. We’ll also explore your values to guide our work. Humor keeps things light, and directness ensures we stay on track. Together, we’ll work toward lasting growth and confidence.

My name is Ryan Welborn, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a degree from Naropa University. I specialize in working with individuals who struggle with emotional challenges, trauma, and difficulty in navigating personal growth. I help by utilizing an integrative approach that blends Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) with psychodynamic, transpersonal, and mindfulness-based techniques. My goal is to support you in facing and transforming the challenges that arise in your life, guiding you through a process of deep healing and self-discovery. I’m a licensed professional counselor candidate with a focus on trauma healing through IFS (Internal Family Systems) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). As a transgender male therapist, I know firsthand how powerful representation can be in the therapy room. I’m deeply committed to creating safe, affirming spaces— for individuals navigating their own healing journeys. When I’m not in session, you’ll likely find me hiking with my dog or exploring new restaurants with my partner. My areas of clinical expertise include trauma-related disorders such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD/C-PTSD), childhood trauma, anxiety and depressive disorders, as well as concerns specific to the LGBTQ+ community. I am committed to providing informed, compassionate, and evidence-based care tailored to the individual's experience. I am deeply committed to fostering a therapeutic environment rooted in respect, authenticity, and humility. Guided by client-centered values, I prioritize each individual’s lived experience, identity, and personal narrative as central to the healing process. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, supporting clients in reclaiming agency and growth.
I believe we don't have to face life's difficult moments alone. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, chronic stress, questions about identity and belonging, or navigating a new stage of life, I aim to work collaboratively as we define goals, and build resilience and self-awareness. I work with all ages, though primarily work with adults and have experience working with military personnel and their families, individuals diagnosed with chronic medical conditions, college students and first responders. I strive to create a welcoming, safe environment as we work collaboratively towards your goals. As both a counselor and art therapist, I often invite creativity into the therapeutic process as a way to deepen self-expression and self-exploration when word not longer suffice. My work is rooted in trauma informed, person-centered and non-pathologizing care. One of the things I value most as a therapist is remaining open to learning. I am passionate about understanding the many identities, cultures, and experiences that shape our lives and about recognizing how larger systems and environments influence our wellbeing. I strive to meet each client with respect, curiosity, and genuine care.
