Are you feeling depressed? Do you or a loved one struggle with substance use? Do you want to make changes, but find yourself doing the same thing over and over again and not know where to even start? Maybe you're at a loss on how to move forward. I can help you get unstuck and navigate complex issues. We all need strategies to focus on what matters most to us. My intention is to create a safe space for you to talk openly, feel understood, and unburden yourself from intense emotions. Together, we will develop a plan to move forward so that you can take the next steps towards healing and restoration.
Grounded, Compassionate and Practical Therapy I work with people navigating change, loss, grief, relationship changes, identity shifts, and the quiet moments when life no longer fits the way it used to. These are tender, often disorienting seasons, and you don’t have to move through them alone.
Find yourself often feeling out of balance or unfulfilled in life and relationships? Is it a struggle to maintain responsibilities to yourself and others? Having difficulty developing and engaging in healthy, loving relationships? If you're ready to get honest and uncover and undo the behavior patterns that hold you back, I offer a safe and confidential space for self-exploration with supportive feedback, guidance, and skill development to aid you in navigating those challenging times of disconnection.
Whether you're a young adult navigating the pressures of school and relationships, a youth finding your footing at home, or someone facing anxiety or grief at any stage of life, you don't have to do it alone. I specialize in anxiety and grief across all ages, with a particular focus on supporting adolescents through the everyday challenges that can feel anything but ordinary. What you'll find in our work together is a space where you are seen, heard, and never judged. Authenticity guides everything I do, and my commitment is to show up for you with genuine empathy and compassion so that we can collaborate in a way that truly serves your needs and goals. Acceptance, empathy, and patience are at the heart of how I practice. Sessions are grounded in your experiences, your goals, and your pace, so that the direction of our work together always feels relevant to your life. Drawing on both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and person-centered care, I tailor my approach to meet you where you are, offering a compassionate, attentive environment where you feel supported every step of the way. Before becoming a therapist, I spent 25 years working in schools, and it was there I witnessed firsthand how many students were navigating real mental health challenges without adequate support. That experience became the turning point that led me to this work, deepening my dedication to person-centered care and reinforcing my belief that every patient deserves to be met with understanding and intention. The perspective I gained from those years in education shapes how I show up for you in every session. Family and exploration bring me a great deal of joy. Spending quality time with the people I love and traveling, whether that means discovering new destinations around the world or finding hidden gems across the U.S., keep me curious, grounded, and energized.
LET’S BE HONEST: Existing between worlds is exhausting. Co-existing in multiple worlds and cultures doesn’t come with a roadmap. The competing demands and expectations leave you feeling tugged in opposing directions, and you’re left with the feeling that no matter how hard you try, you’ll never be enough for anyone. Even though there are many people in your life, it feels like nobody from any ‘side’ really gets you, and you’re not sure where you truly belong. You’re tired of facing microaggressions when you’re out and about and obstacles to advancing at work. All this is impacting your relationship, where you’re struggling to communicate and feel a sense of togetherness across the divides.

Hi there—I’m Odira, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience guiding students and young adults through life’s twists and turns. I understand how hard it can be to fit therapy into a busy schedule, so I offer sessions only in the evenings and on weekends, whether we meet in person in Abilene, TX, or connect virtually across Texas and Colorado. Many students wrestle with anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and relationship ups and downs. That’s why I blend person-centered, holistic, and eclectic approaches to create a space that’s uniquely yours. You know your story best—I’m here to listen, offer fresh perspectives, and partner with you to build practical tools for navigating transitions, strengthening connections, and fostering growth. Over the years, I’ve led behavioral health teams and delivered therapy in community and clinical settings—experience that’s deepened my understanding of the pressures you face on campus and beyond. My passion is creating a warm, collaborative environment where you can explore your strengths, cultivate resilience, and gain clarity. Ready to get started during those after-work or weekend hours? Our center is dedicated to bringing you evidence-based treatments for a wide variety of life's problems. These include depression, anxiety, and insomnia. We provide effective and compassionate individual and group therapy. How we help our clients Our philosophy is to provide a warm and engaging approach to teaching our clients the skills they need to overcome their challenges and to lead more fulfilling lives. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a goal-oriented, practical, and collaborative approach that helps patients change their behavior, mood, thoughts, and relationships. Therapists select techniques that are individualized for each client and may include mindfulness, exposure, and experiential exercises. We help our clients become better aware of the way their negative thoughts affect their mood, self-esteem, and relationships. Our therapists are expertly trained in a variety of cognitive and behavioral therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).
I tend to work well with people who spend a lot of time in their heads. Maybe you overthink, struggle with doubt, get stuck on certain thoughts, questions, or fears, or find yourself searching for a sense of certainty that never seems to last. Maybe you struggle with anxiety, OCD, stress, burnout, trauma, perfectionism, or simply feel “stuck” in cycles you can’t seem to break. Our work is about getting unstuck. It’s about reconnecting with your life. It’s about having more freedom to live it. OCD is a particular interest of mine and part of why I started this practice. It is a complex disorder that is often misunderstood and misdiagnosed, in part because of the narrow way we tend to talk about it. I want to provide a space where the complexity of the experience is understood. I strive to be warm, genuine, curious, and completely nonjudgmental. Therapy is personal, and finding the right therapist matters. If you’re wondering whether I might be the right fit for you, I share much more about myself and my approach on my website. And if you decide to reach out, I encourage you to do so imperfectly. You don’t need to overthink this.
I am a licensed social worker who helps patients navigate identity, interpersonal relationships, and loneliness. My work centers on people of all backgrounds, with a particular focus on queer, transgender, and gender-diverse patients; patients with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI), including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and borderline personality disorder; neurodivergent patients, including those with autism and ADHD; and patients in recovery from substance use. This includes teenage, young adult, and older adult patients navigating changing identity alongside mental health challenges, as well as supporting patients through crises such as suicidality, paranoia, and trauma-related stress. Together, we work toward healthy boundaries, stronger social relationships, and effective coping skills. When we meet, you can expect a calm, compassionate environment from the start. I use a combination of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and somatic therapies to help you navigate acute stress and overwhelm before moving into more expansive identity work. Art and creativity are central to how I practice, particularly for patients who feel stuck in their mental health journey since it allows for communication when words are inadequate. I look forward to discovering who you are as we work together. My path to SOL Mental Health began with supporting disabled adults in the workplace. This work fueled my desire to always put patient autonomy first, above all else, in the therapeutic space. In my free time, I'm an oil painter, linocut printer, and digital artist. Fashion, movies, and live music round out my downtime.
Hello! I am currently accepting new patients. All visits are through telemedicine, so I can see anyone in the state of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or Colorado. My love for what I do in psychiatry, comes from the joy I get in helping others improve their lives. Most of my patients do not know which direction to go when then come to me, and that is ok. Some people come to me looking for second or third opinions about diagnosis or medications, some people are referred by a therapist to start medication. We can openly discuss decisions and options. This is a judgement free zone. There is no way you can TMI me! My primary role in our sessions is diagnosis, evaluation and medication management. The role I have in therapy is very small. Most clients are already in therapy or have been referred by therapists to me. All sessions are conducted by tele-medicine. **Offering flexible hours, evening appointments available, also some weekends. **
Life is going okay, but you know it could be better. You want better relationships or you’re having trouble navigating boundaries with that one family member. You’re feeling depressed, anxious, stressed, and you’re self-aware, but you don’t know what to do about it. There is this nagging belief that something is wrong with you or that you should be doing more. Maybe you’re in transition and or you just really want to make sure you’re mentally well. Individual therapy is great for addressing all of these challenges and joys in life. Part of what works about individual therapy is a solid relationship with a therapist who really gets you, helps you see different perspectives, and helps you make sense of what is going on in your life. You’re the expert on you and as a therapist, I walk with you to help you heal and move forward.
I became a therapist because I genuinely want to provide a space for people to show up just as they are. You don’t need to feel a certain way, say anything specific, or meet any goal on my timeline. When we can sit back and accept ourselves as we are, we begin to hear things we couldn’t while trying to fix or fight parts of ourselves. I believe even the most challenging parts of us have protective purposes—they deserve curiosity, not shame. I work from a place of intuition and connection more than a strict model or method. I believe in being direct and encouraging you to take the risk of getting uncomfortable. At the same time, I’ll meet you with real empathy, patience, and compassion—plus a bit of humor or lightness when it feels right. Finding the right therapist is hard—especially one who truly sees your full, authentic self. If anything you’ve read resonates, I’d love to connect. Reach out for a free consultation and we can see if this is the space you’ve been looking for.

When not in session, Corisa can be found practicing yoga at her neighborhood studio, birding in a local park, taking in a new independent film, or off exploring local restaurants and dives. I'm passionate about walking alongside people who have a sense that, "Maybe, just maybe, it doesn't have to always be this way." Perhaps you're feeling stuck in the same relational dynamics, holding beliefs and ideas about yourself, others, and the world that no longer seem helpful, or wanting to figure out what it might look like to be a more healthy, whole, and honest person. Many of us often have a desire for life to look different, but we might not be sure how to get there. I view therapy as a process that can help us discover more about where we've been, who we are becoming, and how we want to live. I have extensive experience treating anxiety, panic, depression, shame, acute and complex trauma, and working with people seeking to heal from family wounds, relational patterns & distress and religious & spiritual harm. I help people set boundaries in line with their values, find greater safety with themselves, and practice new ways of being. I have pursued training in many areas such as addiction, neurobiology and anxiety, attachment, complex trauma, and EMDR. I’m queer, and I work significantly with the LGBTQ+ community and am affirming of all orientations and identities. I'd love to talk with you further in a free 15-minute phone consultation!
