My Approach: Direct and Compassionate - I believe these are the two greatest traits I can bring into my work with others. While working with clients I strive to provide honest feedback that will help guide them forward towards recovery while offering compassion along the journey. I believe that the best route to change is a direct one that does not beat around the bush. The road to recovery of any form can be very difficult as life may be in a state of turmoil. I have found that offering a compassionate approach that fits an individual's needs is the best route to take. My specialities/areas of focus are: substance abuse, addiction and trauma. I am a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have additional trainings in Brainspotting and DBT. In my work as a counselor and my own life I have found that connection is of incredible importance. Inability or unwillingness to feel and express uncomfortable emotions can keep people disconnected. Through the process of recovery, lifestyle changes, and personal growth many people experience fear, anger, sadness, and many other emotions.

College is a time of transition and change. This can be a time of struggle and existential anxiety for many people. Everyone has times of uncertainty. I will help you explore who you are and what your predicaments are as you become more yourself. You do not have to do this alone. I have many years experience working with people in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics at all levels. Together we can explore your life and relationships to discover ways in which you can live more authentically, in alignment with your values. I trained and worked in England before moving to Boulder in 2010. I have worked with students and academics all over the world and have over 30 years experience as a therapist; I bring all of that with me as I meet each new client. I will help you describe, clarify and unravel your relationship to the world, your self and other people. We do not have to start with your childhood.

Along with individual therapy my practice offers a Young Adult Therapy Group. I co-facilitate the young adult group with Marian Salley. We have been running this group for over 3 years, some of the members have been with us since the beginning. Group members are from all over and the group is ONLINE. Think of the members of this group as a party of adventurers, who get to know each other through time spent together, by sharing the emotionally relevant events from their own lives and the interactions that evolve between them within the group. A group of familiars they can take with them thru the various transitions in their lives. Overtime members witness each other’s ups and downs and become known to each other through the experience of sharing their lives, feelings and responding to how they effect one another in the here and now. This is an excellent group for young adults who are looking for a social space to explore emotional experiences, social anxieties, interpersonal relationships and whatever might come in a group of peers. If you are interested go to my website and look under therapy groups.

The Kairos Wellness Collective is committed to delivering quality holistic care for clients experiencing, but not limited to, OCD and Anxiety. OCD and Anxiety Disorders have magnified in our community since our small city has been stressed by the pandemic, the fires, and King Soopers shootings. Client care specialists take baseline assessments of OCD upon intake into the collective, and every two months, our specialists will continue to assess measurable progress in the treatment of OCD and anxiety. Kairos Wellness Collective features diverse modalities including Chinese Medicine, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy and Coaching (KAP & KAC), Yoga Therapy, Play Therapy, Forest Bathing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Family Therapy. I provide a safe space in therapy for you to show up fully, just as you are. I support you in creating space to dismantle the various known and unknown obstacles blocking you from embodying your TRUE self. I believe you already have what it takes to heal and thrive, but you just need the right environment and community support to unravel and relearn. I have recently expanded to supporting adults who are seeking healing by means of EMDR & Internal Family Systems (IFS). Since 2012, I have primarily served children and their families in their homes and schools, assisting in child behavior, developmental disabilities, and early childhood trauma. I have experience working with first-time parents, grandparents raising grandchildren, teen parents, and foster/adoptive families. I also uses art therapy, sand tray therapy, wilderness therapy, play therapy and Acceptance Commitment Therapy in my practice. In my free time, I loves to engage in her local community of the North Fork Valley located in Paonia, CO on the Western Slope. Over the last decade, I have dedicated volunteer hours at the Sexual Assault Victim Advocacy Center educating youth in prevention, as a National Forest winter & summer ranger, and as a Search & Rescue member. Since 2017, I have been actively educating myself and others in racial justice education and is committed to further developing my own understanding of internal-racial bias and translating this into advocacy work. I am currently on the board of Delta County Cares, an advocacy group for social and racial justice efforts. Offering therapy online and in-person (Paonia location only).
