I will strive to provide you with listening, and respect. It is crucial to me that you leave our sessions feeling ready to put the “roadmap” we’ve designed and customized to meet your unique and specific needs into action. Believe me, there is no manual for success. Everybody’s journey is distinct, and every step is special. In the end, I know everyone can succeed. Our group therapy practice has trained our clinicians to be trauma and systems informed, neurodivergent and LGBTQ affirmative, and knowledgeable in incorporating and integrating the body and mind in therapy. We consider the individual, societal, and environmental factors and contexts for each client. We also explore the identities you hold and the intersectionality of how your identities inform who you are. We also recognize how macro societal level systems, those that influence experiences of power, privilege, and oppression, deeply impact the experiences of every individual. We use our expertise and understanding about neurodiversity and learning styles in conjunction with Mary Jo Barrett’s Collaborative Change Model to structure and pace healthy trauma informed therapy. We also acknowledge and take into account that when we experience something painful, we experience it on multiple levels. Our approach allows us to integrate the body into therapy and explore what the body needs to feel safe or calm again.
Pursuing therapy is a courageous step in your healing journey, and you deserve to be heard and empowered throughout the process. I am here to provide you a safe space in which you can be your true self without the fear of being judged. My style of therapy includes being warm, authentic, and nonjudgmental with my clients, allowing them the time and space to express, reflect, and problem-solve. Because therapy can seem daunting, I pride myself in having a laid-back and gentle demeanor, letting the client know that they are cared for and appreciated. I value having a multicultural and anti-oppressive lens, allowing clients from a variety of social and cultural backgrounds to feel that their voices and experiences are worthy of being heard. As a child of immigrant parents, I know how hard it can be to open up about one’s feelings, I will be patient and supportive throughout the whole therapeutic process, as well as maintain respect and sensitivity toward one’s cultural background. When the time is right, I am always open for laughter and light-heartedness in a session, as well as focusing on positivity and self-empowerment. My work with clients is person-centered and trauma-informed. I have experience working with people of color, LGBTQIA+ folks, and high school students. Outside of being a therapist, I enjoy sports, cats, and tea! I’m here to help you every step of the way, so please never hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns! All inquiries are welcome. Please reach out to me at danial@rogersparkcounseling.com or 708-580-6245

During my eight years on staff in college counseling centers, I fully enjoyed helping college and graduate students be their best selves. Sometimes that involved offering concrete information about something specific, such as ADHD, and sometimes that has involved helping a person feel better about themselves or get more satisfaction out of life and out of relationships. I enjoy working together with students who are interested in exploring the obstacles to getting what they want out of life.
Hello! My name is Allison, and if you work with me, you will have a safe and welcoming space to express yourself. I utilize humor, patience, kindness, and unconditional positive regard to strengthen the therapeutic bond. My goal and purpose as a therapist is to allow my clients space to process their thoughts and emotions, and encourage growth and positive change.
From the outside, things may look stable—even successful. You’ve built a career, managed responsibilities, and kept everything moving forward. But internally, there may be a quiet sense of overwhelm, disconnection, or pressure that’s becoming harder to ignore. Many high-achieving professionals and couples reach a point where pushing through is no longer enough. The stress lingers, relationships feel strained, and the balance you once had feels out of reach. Karen Greenberg, LCSW, provides therapy in Evanston, IL, and throughout Illinois by telehealth, for individuals and couples who want more than short-term relief. The work focuses on helping you understand what’s underneath these patterns so you can move forward with clarity, confidence, and stronger connections.
