I am here to support and work with you to reach your goals for therapy. Goals for sessions could include developing coping skills for stress and difficult emotions, feeling less depressed, or improving communication/relationships. Everyone comes to therapy with strengths and skills that can be used to meet goals like these. My therapeutic approach centers on providing compassion and collaborating to meet your goals in a safe and supportive environment. I have a clinical background in supporting individuals with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and life stressors. Additionally, I have worked with neurodivergent individuals seeking support in recovering from burnout and to be in an affirming space to explore their neurodivergent identity. I am committed as a clinician to provide an inclusive therapeutic environment that affirms individuals of their identities, culture, experiences, and beliefs. I would be happy to meet for a free 15 to 20 minute consultation call to see if I would be a good fit for you.

Sometimes this world is not the easiest place to live as we do not have control over every circumstance. We do, however, have control over how we respond to life situations we encounter. As humans, controlling our behaviors, our thoughts, our feelings can be a struggle at times. Therapy is a safe place to process, to learn, to grow so that we can react more effectively to life circumstances and to gain more control. College students are about adjusting into adulthood, finding independence, and developing a sense of self and directions. This is the time to utilize therapy to assist in the development of who you want to become. Trauma, mood disorders, relationship problems, anxiety, are many areas that college students suffer from due to past experiences or experiences encountered in college. Take the time to resolve and manage your mental health so that you can be the best version of you!

I am a licensed clinical social worker, licensed clinical addictions specialist and certified clinical supervisor who works with individuals and families in order to resolve issues such as: depression, anxiety, trauma, grieving, women’s struggles, gender identity, addictive issues and life transitions. I also provide supervision to clinicians seeking licensure. It takes a lot of courage to reach out to a therapist for assistance. The therapeutic relationship is of upmost importance to support therapeutic gains. If we find that I am not a good fit for your needs then I will refer you to someone who might be a better fit. I use a wide variety of modalities, to include cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, experiential therapy, solution focused therapy, brief therapies and EMDR. We will examine the issues that are causing difficulty for you and address the continuum of coping skills that may be helpful to your situation. I have worked for over 20 years in mental health and substance abuse services. My goal is to assist the people I serve to live more fulfilling lives. I am a provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medcost, Aetna, Cigna, Coventry and most major insurance companies. I also provide documentation to clients with other insurances so they may file their own claims if they choose. PRIOR TO YOUR FIRST VISIT, to learn whether your insurance will cover our therapy, please contact your Benefits Director or call the number on the back of your insurance card. Some insurance companies require pre-authorization calls in order to cover ANY psychotherapy sessions. You are responsible for payment of any deductibles, co-insurance or co-pays at each session unless other arrangements are explicitly discussed. INCLEMENT WEATHER Ida can usually make her appointments on time despite Boone’s erratic winter weather. If weather prevents her from meeting you, she will contact you in advance. Tiffany is a native of Mississippi graduating from the prestigious Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science. She spent her summers in the mountains of North Carolina during undergraduate and graduate schools and eventually found her way back to North Carolina full time. Tiffany graduated with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Human Development and Family Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master's Degree in Community Counseling from Regent University. Tiffany has been providing counseling services since 2012 and Neurofeedback services since 2014. She is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. Tiffany is one of only three clinicians in North Carolina's Piedmont Triad Region who is Board Certified in Neurofeedback from The Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA) and a certified mentor for the BCIA board certification process helping train other practitioners to become board certified in neurofeedback. Tiffany is a the only clinician in the region who has the Quantitative EEG-Diplomate Licensed (QEEG-DL) certification from the QEEG Certification Board. She is certified in HeartMath and serves as adjunct faculty at Wake Forest University in the graduate counseling program. Tiffany has received didactic training to read QEEG brain maps and administer scientifically based neurofeedback training from her mentor, Robert E. Longo, MRC, LCMHC, BCN; Richard Soutar, PhD, BCN (Alpha Theta Training); Tiff Thompson, PhD, MFT, BCN, QEEGDL, REEGT (QEEG Training), and Sebern Fisher (Neurofeedback and Developmental Trauma). Click here to listen to Tiffany’s talk on Developmental Trauma. When Tiffany began her career, she used more well-known techniques, like cognitive behavioral therapy and play therapy, but it wasn’t long before she became increasingly aware that the mental health field needed alternatives. Neurofeedback takes advantage of the brain's ability to change itself allowing a person of any age to make changes in behavior and thinking patterns more easily. Using a combination of counseling and Neurofeedback, Tiffany began to see more substantial changes in her client's lives. Currently, Tiffany utilizes Neurofeedback and Heart Rate Variability in combination with traditional counseling. Click here to read Tiffany’s article on the popular Blog—Triad Mom’s on Main. Tiffany works with a variety of clientele utilizing a person-centered approach, which means sessions will start with you and your needs. Together, we will explore the issues that you bring to counseling in a holistic way with emphasis on emotional and personal history perspectives. Tiffany‘s experience has allowed her to work closely with many children, teenagers, and adults of different needs and backgrounds where she brings enthusiasm, compassion and cross-cultural understanding to her work towards healing and wholeness.

Licensed Professional Counselor

Hi, my name is Rachel Kelly and I am a licensed professional counselor accepting new clients at Chrysalis Counseling. Has the state of the world left you freaking exhausted? Do you drag yourself through your days at work or school with a fake smile on your face? Do you spend more of your free time than you'd like either stuck in a blanket burrito listening to Bo Burnham's "Inside" on repeat and drinking too much or catering to everyone's needs but your own? I get it. It's hard to balance taking care of yourself and supporting the people you care about while facing a constant onslaught of global stress. That's why I specialize in Acceptance and Commitment therapy to help people make peace with things they can't control and follow through on taking their power back to make meaningful changes where they can. I know that you've been doing the best you can and it's getting too hard to keep doing it on your own. You don't have to anymore. Send me an e-mail today to make an appointment or set up a phone consultation to decide if I'm the right person to help you get out of your head and into your life. *I am licensed in both South Carolina and North Carolina and can provide telehealth sessions to individuals anywhere in either state. I can accept BCBS and private pay. I can provide superbills for possible reimbursement with any insurance company.
