I commend you for taking the first step on the path to a better you. You deserve to be the best version of yourself and you are already taking the first step in self care by being here. Investing in yourself is the very best investment you can make. As a therapist, I have the wonderful opportunity to support you on your path to becoming the best version of you. In my career and life I have experienced the difficulty in trying to balance it all and found that it’s not easy. My goal as a therapist is to create a supportive environment for folks to explore their gender and sexuality. Perhaps you identify as queer, bi, lesbian, gay, pan, ace, trans, nonbinary, agender, poly, kinky, something else, all of the above, or nothing at all. You deserve to have a space where you can learn more about your identity without judgment or pressure. As a queer person who has sought out therapy myself, I know how challenging it can be to find an affirming therapist. Even if your identity isn’t central to your therapy goals, I will always aim to honor and validate every part of who you are in our work. My therapeutic style is collaborative and anti-oppressive. My approach is integrative, using tools from a variety of therapeutic modalities—relational, CBT, narrative, sex therapy—that are best suited to each unique client. In addition to specializing in identity, I support clients experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, and relationship issues. My aim is to co-create a space with you that facilitates growth, emotional awareness, and authentic self-expression. Please reach out if you have any questions about my work or about therapy more generally. I'm glad that you're seeking out the care you need right now, and I hope that we have the opportunity to connect more soon.

I am a bilingual psychotherapist fluent in English and in Tagalog, fostering a trusting and collaborative therapeutic environment where you feel acknowledged and understood. Through this partnership, clients explore their needs, process experiences, acquire coping skills, and cultivate a perspective that promotes authentic self-connection and meaningful engagement with the world. I bring extensive experience from working with diverse individuals and groups, addressing mental health issues such as psychosis, trauma, anxiety, and depression in an inpatient setting. Specializing in grief counseling, I assist people coping with various losses, including relationships, careers, pets, cultures, or hobbies. Drawing from her background as a competitive athlete, I also support athletes with the loss of opportunities, identity, physical abilities, or general sports psychology. Also as a proud Filipina-American, I recognize the difficulty in discussing emotions and mental health within Asian-American communities due to stigma. I advocate for therapy as a safe space to address emotional struggles, and to also express all types of emotions, including positive one’s such as your strengths and achievements. Regardless of one’s identity within the Asian American Pacific Islander Community, I offer support for various challenges including acculturation, family loss, relationship issues, anxiety, depression and identity struggles. I understand there is no one-size-fits-all approach; I will personalize the treatment based on your unique needs and situation. I am here to provide a safe and comfortable place for you to be your real, authentic self, to share a great laugh, cry, or any other emotions free of judgment.

I specialize in treating anxiety, panic, stress, OCD, relationship challenges, and transitions. Are your thoughts and behaviors self-defeating at times, blocking you from what you really want in life? We all see the world through different lenses, which are formed and strengthened by our genes, the messages we received growing up, and our accumulated experiences. Sometimes this lens can become distorted, causing us to perceive and interact with the world in unhelpful ways. Certain thinking and behavioral patterns may get in the way of relationships with others, with work, and with ourselves. Psychotherapy can be a really important resource for preserving self-care and building resiliency. Whether you are seeking therapy to work on a specific concern or goal, to get through a tough time, or to understand yourself better, I strive to provide my clients with a supportive, collaborative, and judgment-free space. Our work together will involve understanding your unique patterns and developing skills to cope with unhelpful thoughts and overwhelming emotions, decrease unworkable behaviors, and increase value-driven living. Email for a complimentary phone consultation. For policy and pricing FAQ, please view www.nicolereinertherapy.com.

One of the greatest gifts I've received in my 19+ years of private practice, has been to witness individuals as they move towards healing, and discover a more fulfilling, whole life. The hold an eating disorder, anxiety or trauma can have on a life is profound. To watch the grip loosen, and healing emerge, is very moving. I enjoy learning, and collecting new tools and skills to help my clients. After I obtained my MSW from New York University's School of Social Work, I completed postgraduate training in eating disorders and body image issues at the Women's Therapy Centre Institute, and in Trauma Studies at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy. In addition, I completed a three-year training in Somatic Experiencing, and have assisted at professional trainings, helping other therapists to learn the model. I've led eating disorder groups for New York University's Counseling Center and various non-profit organizations, and have served as both a lecturer and group case consultant on eating disorders and trauma at postgraduate institutes in New York City. Interested in creating a culturally and spiritually sensitive practice, I completed a two-year program studying the world's major faith traditions, in an effort to better understand my clients from all backgrounds. I do not take any insurance. My fees range from $150-175 based on need, and I do not presently have a sliding scale beyond that range. If you have questions, or would like to request an appointment, please feel free to contact me. I offer ONLINE ONLY therapy in CA, CO and NY.

I am a New York State licensed Psychotherapist experienced in working with a broad range of issues including depression, anxiety, loss and grief, LGBTQIA+ issues, family and relationship struggles, identity, complex life transitions, and trauma ranging from the personal to systemic. I am a graduate of Hunter College’s Silberman School of Social Work and completed training in working with Couples and Families through the Ackerman Institute for the Family and advanced post graduate training in Relational Therapy at the Stephen A. Mitchell Center for Relational Studies. I bring warmth, deep listening, honesty, cultural sensitivity and humility, and a spirit of collaboration, authenticity, and humor to my therapeutic work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I have worked extensively with adolescents and emergent adults and understand that these junctures typically involve a great deal of growth and change. This can in turn be exciting and wonderful, and also sometimes disorienting and overwhelming. I approach therapy as a collaborative exploration of an individual's lived experiences, the meanings they make out of these experiences, and the relationships they cultivate with self and others in the context of these experiences and meaning-making. In therapy together we slow these conscious and lesser conscious processes down to better understand what might be happening, where people may be stuck in self-limiting narratives or patterns, where resilience, joy, and strength can be recognized, and where growth and change are possible.
