Hello there! I believe everyone has the ability to live a balanced and fulfilling life and, inevitably, changes can throw us off balance. I look forward to working collaboratively with you to set therapy goals to improve relationships, make difficult decisions, make emotional adjustments, and feel more confident. I enjoy helping adults embrace who they are to gain clarity, improve relationships, cope with stress, and regain a sense of well-being. I place a high value on a therapeutic, non-judgmental relationship centered around deep listening. Although growth in therapy can be hard work, the process should also be inspirational and enjoyable. We are living in a world full of change. A therapeutic process that integrates the mind, emotions, spirit, and body is relevant. I will help you rediscover your unique life vision and capitalize on your strengths in order to find your way to wellness and wholeness.
Therapy is completely different for each individual because everyone is going through different issues and have personalized goals. From a strengths-based perspective, I work to empower clients to gain the skills necessary to address and resolve problems, change behaviors, improve relationships and navigate and cope with stressors. During your session, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, habits, and experiences to gain a better understanding of yourself and to develop coping skills to achieve goals and improve your well-being. I place a strong emphasis on developing insight and empathy within a non-judgmental and compassionate environment. I have over 14 years of experience practicing as a nurse and working within social services providing counseling and care coordination to adolescents, adults, and families. My therapeutic background is rooted in medical and health psychology, assisting individuals and families coping with normal or unwanted transitions, chronic illness, end of life issues, and those experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker through the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers and I am an active member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
Whether you are struggling with feelings such as sadness, guilt, anger, grief, disappointment, loneliness, or inner-conflict, as your therapist, I will collaborate with you using an authentic, kind, and skilled approach. We will start with a comprehensive evaluation of your needs and discuss what brings you to therapy. Together, we will establish goals and develop a plan that will support your strengths, resources, and encourage a path toward success. The therapeutic relationship can provide a safe space to increase self-awareness and recognize behaviors and relationship patterns that can make you feel stuck. Together, we will address your concerns from a holistic perspective with the intention of fostering resilience, empowerment, and positive change.
If you are new to therapy or returning to it, it's normal to feel anxious or unsure about where to start. It's a big step and also it's an opportunity to grow, develop new insights and increase capacity to feel grounded. I work from a place of deep empathy, understanding, intuition, and humor. In order for therapy to be transformative and healing, a good therapeutic relationship must be built. Together we will identify barriers to your emotional, relational and functional well being. Let's work together.
During a therapy session, I am an active participant in the process, bringing genuine presence, empathy, and validation. As my client, I view you as the expert of your own experience. My role is collaborator in the therapy process, listening for themes and patterns, asking questions to encourage self-exploration, and (with curiosity, respect, and perhaps some humor) challenging unhelpful or "stuck" patterns. Trauma, loss, life transitions, dysfunctional relationships, and other stressors can cause emotional pain that is hard to manage alone and can block self-understanding. Developing compassion and insight about yourself and your experiences is the first step in: (1) accepting yourself as you are now, and (2) trying new ways of being. My goal for our work together is to progress towards respect and acceptance of the experiences you have had and the person you are now, while also enhancing self-awareness and coping styles in a way that empowers you to find ever more ease and satisfaction in your life.
I work with those who are committed to the long-term work of healing complex trauma and attachment wounding through experiential work. I specialize in working with activists, artists and healers, and particularly those who are ready for deep transformative healing, so they can better do their work in the world, from a place of clarity and internal peace.

Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or mentally exhausted—even though you’re keeping up with work and responsibilities? Do you find yourself overthinking, tense, or disconnected from what used to matter? In therapy, we'll focus on helping you reduce the grip of anxiety, respond differently to stress, and develop practical skills for handling difficult thoughts and emotions without feeling overwhelmed by them.
Let's face it - our day-to-day lives can be difficult, stressful, and complex. So of course, we will be impacted on some level by the systems around us. It is a part of what makes us human! I truly believe that a deeper understanding our emotions and experiences can help us move through whatever we face. Having the skills and the community to help us navigate difficult moments is possible! It is truly an honor to be a part of that journey with clients. I utilize music with therapeutic intention to build resilience and empowerment. I also utilize talk therapy to connect with clients, offering a space for verbal processing and conversation. Adopting both a Relational and Systems Theory approach, I strive to meet the client where they are at in order to collaborate on treatment goals and interventions. Therapy can feel uncertain and overwhelming, especially at first. I commend you for doing your due diligence in researching and exploring your options. It is an absolute privilege and honor to be a part of this journey with you!

My approach is person-centered, emotion-focused, and integrative based on other therapeutic modalities (e.g., Mindfulness, ACT, Parts Work), and collaborate with my clients on what would work best for them and their needs.
I work best with young adults, especially those who self-identify as women or are exploring their gender identity/expression, navigating the early-adulthood years. You might be juggling academic or career decisions, feeling anxious or burnt out, experiencing changes in friendships or romantic relationships, and wondering what truly matters to you. In a warm, collaborative, and gender-affirming space, we’ll use tools from CBT, mindfulness, and self-compassion to help you build confidence, manage anxiety, and reconnect with your values so you can live more authentically and with less overwhelm. If this sounds like what you need, I’d love to connect and see if we’re a good fit.
