The students I work with are usually managing more than they let on. Classes, work, money, family expectations, a relationship that is complicated, and a growing sense that everyone else got a manual they did not. A lot of them are anxious. Not always in the obvious way. Sometimes it looks like lying awake running through everything you said that day. Sometimes it looks like putting off an email for three weeks because opening it feels impossible. Sometimes it looks like doing fine on paper and feeling hollow about it. A lot of them are also in the middle of a decision. Whether to change majors. Whether to stay. What happens after graduation when the plan you had at eighteen stopped making sense. Those questions belong in therapy just as much as the anxiety does, and in my experience they are usually tangled together. You do not need to be in crisis to talk to someone. Wanting more support than you have right now is enough of a reason. I was the first person in my family to go to college. I did it without anyone who could tell me how it worked, and I figured out fairly late that asking for help earlier would have saved me a lot. That is part of why I do this work.

Registered Dietitian
Online
San Francisco, CA

Hey there! I’m Joyce Atkins, MS, RDN, LDN, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with more than 18 years of experience supporting children, adults, and families in clinical, community, and telehealth settings. I specialize in type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, heart health, kidney health, and nutrition support for people taking GLP-1 medications. I also have extensive experience with family nutrition and supporting people managing multiple or complex health conditions. My approach is warm, practical, and judgment free. I believe every person has a unique nutrition story, and I take time to understand your health, culture, family traditions, food preferences, resources, daily responsibilities, and relationship with food. I combine evidence-based medical nutrition therapy with realistic strategies that can fit into your everyday life. During our sessions, I’ll help you make sense of confusing nutrition information, recognize your strengths, and find practical ways to support your health without making food feel more complicated than it needs to be. Whether you’re working on blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure, heart or kidney health, or navigating nutrition while taking a GLP-1 medication, we’ll create realistic goals that feel manageable and sustainable. As a Filipina American dietitian, I’m passionate about providing culturally responsive care and creating a space where people feel safe, seen, heard, respected, and included in their nutrition care. I welcome people from diverse cultures, identities, families, and life experiences, including women across life stages, LGBTQ+ people, transgender and nonbinary individuals, service members, veterans, and military families. I also understand that access to nutritious food and healthcare can be shaped by financial, insurance, and other barriers, and I strive to make nutrition recommendations practical and accessible. My Ideal Client My ideal client is looking for support navigating a health condition without feeling overwhelmed by nutrition advice. Together, we’ll focus on what matters most to you and create practical strategies that fit your health needs, preferences, culture, and everyday life. My goal is to help you feel more confident and supported as you make changes that can last. More About Me When I’m not working with clients, I love spending time with my young son and large extended family. I enjoy singing, dancing, strength training, creative activities, volunteering, and participating in community events such as local 5Ks and food-bank outreach. What to Expect in Our Sessions Our sessions are designed to be supportive, collaborative, and practical. You’ll have space to ask questions, talk through your concerns, and better understand how nutrition connects to your health. I’ll provide evidence-based education, personalized recommendations, and realistic strategies that take your lifestyle and circumstances into account. My goal is for you to leave each session with greater clarity, confidence, and a few concrete steps you can actually use in your day-to-day life. We’ll focus on progress rather than perfection and take things one sustainable step at a time. I’m looking forward to working with you and helping you feel more confident in your nutrition and health! Ready to start? Book a visit directly at https://diabetesdigital.co/start.

Licensed Professional Counselor
In-Person & Online
Upper Saint Clair, PA

Hello! I am Adam Oshnock, a Licensed Professional and Nationally Certified Counselor located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania who is currently accepting new clients with flexible scheduling. I started my work in the mental health field in 2001 and received my license in 2007. I have worked with all populations from age 6 on, but have specialized experience in working with children, adolescents, and families (including marital and divorce). I have additional specialized training for individuals who have experienced trauma and I am certified as a Clinical Trauma Professional Level 2. I am a Certified Clinical Telemental Health professional for those that prefer virtual appointments. I have significant experience in working with athletes at all levels to improve their mental approach to the sport. The first session is always one where an evaluation occurs to determine if therapy is recommended. It is also important during that time that the client identifies that I am a good fit for treatment. The safe and supportive space of the therapeutic relationship is critical to treatment progress. After the assessment we would develop a plan of care and individualized goals. This includes determining individualized interventions for the treatment goals. It is important that we focus on today, learn from our past, and prepare for the future. If you think I might be a good fit for your therapeutic needs I look forward to hearing from you.

Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed by classes, work, or family expectations. Anxious about the future. Stuck in relationship patterns that keep hurting, or questioning who you are and where you’re headed. Perhaps you’re navigating trauma, a painful breakup or betrayal, loneliness, identity questions, academic pressure, or a major life transition. You might look like you’re holding it together on the outside, while inside you feel disconnected, exhausted, or never quite enough. You may long to feel more grounded, confident, connected, and understood. If any of this feels familiar, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. My therapy practice offers a calm, compassionate space where college students and young adults can slow down, feel seen, and make sense of what they’re going through. I work with individuals and couples who are hurting and ready for change, whether that means healing from past experiences, strengthening relationships, or reconnecting with themselves. Together, we’ll explore the parts of your story that feel tender or confusing and work toward greater clarity, self-compassion, and meaningful growth.

Licensed Mental Health Counselor
In-Person & Online
Philadelphia, PA

My name is Eve Buck (she/her/hers), and I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor. I work with individuals and couples living in New York and Pennsylvania at my virtual practice. I completed my master’s degree in mental health counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. My previous training includes working with undergraduate and graduate students at the Fordham University counseling center, as well as community practices where I have worked with culturally diverse clients from all walks of life. I particularly enjoy working with young adults and senior adults and have specialized training in therapy for people who identify as Latinx. It is through the experiences and lessons I have learned along my work and personal journeys that I hope to support your path toward overcoming your personal struggles and finding greater fulfillment. I pride myself on utilizing a multicultural approach to therapy while bringing in teachings and principles of multiple disciplines, drawing mainly from psychodynamic therapy among other evidence-based practices. It is this multidisciplinary approach that I believe best serves clients, allowing space for present-minded problem solving as well as exploration into a client’s past, relationships, and emotional experience. Our work together can be tailored based on your life story and experiences and what you hope to gain from therapy. Everyone’s therapy journey is different. Whether it’s working through trauma or beginning a path towards better self-understanding, I strive to provide an open, non-judgmental, and productive space where people can find relief from distressing symptoms as well as develop a stronger sense of self through insight and reflection. Just like each person is unique, each treatment is different and adapted to who you are and what you need. I recognize the wide breadth of human experience and I bring this knowledge with me to best meet your needs. Life can be difficult and confusing, but as your therapist I will be there to empathize with and support you through it.

Though the process of therapy can be difficult, I bring an accepting and compassionate mindset to our relationship that will help you feel comfortable in session and leave therapy feeling more satisfied, skillful, and empowered. I typically work with college students, adults, and older adolescents. I primarily work from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) perspectives. The majority of my training has been in college counseling and community mental health. My areas of interest and expertise include trauma, OCD, social anxiety, specific phobia, panic disorder, emotion dysregulation, issues of overcontrol, nonsuicidal self-injury, depression, and LGBTQ+ issues. Welcome! I am a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood of Philadelphia. I provide therapy to adults of all ages struggling with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, coping with medical illness, trauma, unsatisfying relationships, low self-esteem, general stress, and other difficulties. College students can be particularly susceptible to these kinds of distress. When you're trying to manage intense coursework and maintain a satisfying social life while also considering what kind of a life you might want to live and the kind of person you want to be, it is not unusual to struggle with feelings of stress, fear, anxiety, and depression. Searching for a therapist can also seem intimidating, particularly during a stressful phase of life; however, it is my goal to ease the process and be of help. Your mental health is important and deserves attention, especially if you are not feeling well. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or feel I might be of help. Masters of Science in Community and Trauma Counseling. Eating Disorders, Trauma, Anxiety, and Depression. Offering in-person therapy in Society Hill, and Telehealth therapy. “Hopefulness lies in knowing that while early experiences shape the nervous system, ongoing experiences can reshape it” - Deb Dana I approach healing through a lens of restorative embodiment. My intention is to create a safe space as an empathetic witness and an honored collaborative partner in your therapeutic journey. In the therapeutic room I will bring in authenticity, laughter, presence, hope, and intentional moments of silence. I believe in an i-thou relationship and that you are the best guide for me to support you. With that, I also believe that while each of us are the experts in our own lives, we often do not know how to access or trust in our inner-knowing to make the necessary steps towards adaptive change and cultivating a fully embodied life that is worth living. My passion is to support you in finding and trusting your inner knowing, embrace your worthiness and strength, experience safety in using your body as a resource, and reinforce your internal sense of self-agency. In the therapeutic room, I prioritize trauma-informed and LGBTQIA-affirming care as well as harm reduction. I have experience in social work providing housing-first and strength-based care. In addition, I have experience providing individual, group, and family therapy in different settings such as a psychiatric inpatient hospital for adolescents, an eating disorder residential treatment center, and a Comprehensive DBT-focused outpatient practice. I primarily support clients ages 14 and up, college-aged individuals, and young adults. I am passionate about working with those navigating this world with an eating disorder, depression, anxiety, substance recovery, and differing levels of trauma and PTSD/CPTSD. Grounded in the principles of Health at Every Size®, I endorse Intuitive Eating, body neutrality, radical acceptance, and body liberation. I often draw upon these principles as well as embodiment in the treatment of eating disorders. I also practice with aspects from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (TF-ACT), using a mindfulness and somatic approach. I fully believe that every human has done and is doing the best they can with the tools they have or were given, whether effective or ineffective, with the information the body has interpreted and stored. The body and brain is malleable, flexible, and able to change. Let’s re-align with our inner-knowing, physical sensations, and core-values; change our interpretations and the narrative, to cultivate a new path forward that supports you as you level up with new and more effective tools. There is hope and I am so honored to join you on this next part of your journey. I facilitate a body image group called Embodiment. I accept Aetna & Cigna insurances.

People often seek therapy to resolve past experiences and life complexities and the decision to enter therapy may carry feelings of ambivalence and uncertainty. I believe that therapy is most effective when persons are offered an environment that is inviting, collaborative, affirming, and safe. Subsequently, my goal is to provide a challenging, but non-judgmental and encouraging atmosphere for persons to explore concerns and difficulties as a means of achieving desired change. I have been trained in psychodynamic and gestalt therapy and trauma and attachment theory and I integrate these theoretical constructs to understand the uniqueness of each person. Further, I include harm reduction, cultural, strengths perspective, and social justice lenses to recognize each person's lived experience. In end, I have an extensive history working with persons of queer and trans/GNC experience and specific interest in working with complex trauma, substance misuse and addiction, attachment, and grief/loss. I offer an informed perspective when working with persons in polyamorous relationships and/or the kink community.

Rules, willpower, and white-knuckling fail over time. For some, a relationship they care about is at risk. For others, it’s the quiet fear of where this is heading if nothing changes.
