Clients also appreciate that I bring authenticity, determination, and humor into the healing journey. I have particular expertise and interest in working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, OCD, depression, perfectionism, self-expression, difficulty adjusting to college, relationship issues, and addictions. To treat OCD, I specifically use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold standard in OCD treatment. I’m a psychoanalyst in private practice. Though I work most frequently with graduate students and faculty, I welcome all students with an interest in learning more about themselves. As a psychoanalyst, I believe in addressing the underlying causes of problems and difficulties.

Hello! This is Dr. Lavanya Devdas, woman of color, immigrant, and a licensed psychologist in PA. I am also certified by the mindfulness meditation teacher training program under Dr. Jack Kornfield and Dr. Tara Brach. I recently completed a two year training program, The Three Doors, a Tibetan based meditation program from which I incorporate somatic based and meditation techniques. I provide in-person and telehealth mental health therapy and consultation services to meet the demands of the changing landscape we live in. I also offer workshops, presentations on stress, adjustment to college, mindfulness coping tools among other topics and offer short-term consultation sessions, including online and in-person groups. Existential concerns from anxiety, work-life balance, stress to relational challenges, isolation, intersecting identities conflict and low mood are common experiences of human nature; simultaneously, when we are grappling with the uncertainty of the socio-political climate, and adjustment to life transitions, and collective biases, it is challenging to regulate anxious and depressed mood, social isolation, stress and cultural adjustment related challenges. It affects who we are, our thought patterns, feelings, and the way we understand and respond to the environment. We are not alone, and you do not have to do this alone. I offer relational therapy through a collaborative therapeutic relationship with a striving for you to feel seen and heard in a safe, genuine therapeutic milieu. My authenticity as your therapist includes integrating culturally sensitive therapy such as mindfulness based cognitive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and client centered therapy in providing immediate feedback, using mindfulness based strategies and concrete, specific tools based on your strengths, as your coping repertoire. Supportive, therapeutic relationships can help. So please do not wait. Reach out now.

I believe in the integration of body, mind, and spirit and the importance of bringing balance to one's life for optimal functioning. Our journey together would work toward wellness and healing in a trusting, safe, and secure relationship. I integrate a variety of therapies to best suit my clients' needs, including EMDR, Internal Family Systems, trauma-focused therapies, and traditional talk psychotherapy. I have a certification in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, as well as training in Internal Family Systems therapy. I am dedicated to helping my clients heal from past and current traumas through the power of a trusting, secure therapeutic relationship where they can discover and know their inner strengths.

Hi, I’m Shannon Mick, NCC, LPC, founder of Finish Stronger Counseling. I provide compassionate virtual therapy to adults across Pennsylvania who are ready to overcome anxiety, trauma, and eating disorders—especially endurance runners and athletes who want to feel strong in both mind and body. As a semi-professional ultramarathoner and assistant running coach myself, I truly understand the unique mental challenges that come with the sport: DNFs, DNSs, injury recovery, training balance, body image, and the relentless drive to push your limits. My holistic, movement-informed approach blends evidence-based therapy with real-world strategies that honor the mind-body connection athletes live every day. Using CBT, DBT, and ACT, I help clients address root causes, build resilience, and develop the mindset tools they need to cross every finish line—on the trail and in life. Whether you’re navigating performance anxiety, rebuilding after a setback, or simply wanting to feel like yourself again, my goal is simple: help you finish stronger. I offer a free 10–15 minute phone consult so we can see if we’re the right fit. An email is okay, too. Let’s get started—your next strong chapter is waiting. Mindset and mental wellness coaching is another service that I provide to ultramarathon runners in the U.S.

Space to heal, grow and thrive while you transition to independence. You don't have to navigate transitions to adulthood alone! This time period is filled with change- romantic relationships, professional/academic, familial, social circle, moving locations, etc. Figure out meaning and purpose in your life and how to achieve alignment in your goals and life decisions. I believe true healing comes from addressing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.

College can feel like a lot to carry. Classes, relationships, expectations, and trying to figure out what comes next. You might look like you’re handling things on the outside, but inside feel overwhelmed, stuck, exhausted, or unsure of yourself. You may notice the same patterns showing up in relationships or feel like you’re falling behind. You are not alone, this is a very common experience. Therapy is a place to sort through what’s going on and understand why things feel this way. With over 20 years of experience, I work with students navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, academic challenges and family and relationship challenges. I offer a warm, supportive space where you can talk openly, make sense of your experiences, and start to feel steadier and more confident. Together, we’ll work on building healthier boundaries, finding clarity, and helping you move forward in a way that feels right for you. If you’d like to connect, email is the best way to reach me. I look forward to hearing from you.
