I'm a licensed professional counselor in Texas and I provide virtual counseling to individuals all over Texas. I've been in practice for 5 years and counting. I help overwhelmed young adults and millennials who want to feel more calm and confident in themselves, their relationships and in their careers. My professional experience includes working with people from various backgrounds who have struggled with depression, low self-worth, anxiety, chronic stress, anger issues, adjusting to disability, major life transitions, PTSD, and career changes. I use an integrative approach that is based on each individual's needs. The therapeutic approaches that I will use includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Trauma Focused, Motivational Interviewing, and Strengths Based therapy. My role is to provide support and encouragement as you work towards your goals. I give you space to be heard, and allow you to reflect on the changes that you want to make that align with your values. I'm looking forward to working with you.
I am a relational therapist integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and somatic-informed practices. Virtual sessions. Flexible availability including evenings and weekends. Discounted rates when requested. My speciality areas include: - Grief (Infertility, loss of a loved one, breakups, unfulfilled goals) - Burnout - Complex Family Dynamics - Life Transitions (Motherhood, Career Changes) - Attachment trauma - Pressure that come with a high-demand career My approach to therapy is collaborative and follows a thoughtful process. Together, we explore the roots of your feelings. Often, feelings point to underlying needs, so you and I identify the unmet need your feelings may be drawing attention to. Understanding your feelings is foundational, yet insight alone does not always guide lasting change. Next, we intentionally support your mind and body to process and release emotional tension. Throughout this process, I create a supportive, trusting space where your nervous system can feel secure and you can explore your authentic self. I strive to meet clients where they are, walking alongside them with kindness, empathy, presence, and unwavering commitment to their well-being. I value respectful, kind, direct communication. When requested, I provide Christian counseling, integrating Scripture and the Gospel in a God-honoring space. I'm here to support whatever goals you have for yourself. Emily Keck, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Texas under the supervision of Casey Davids, LPC-S and LPCA in Kentucky under supervision of Erica Adams, LPCC-S.

College can bring big changes, new pressures, and moments that feel overwhelming. But you don’t have to carry it all on your own. With the right support, these challenges can also become opportunities for growth, confidence, and clarity. I work to help college students navigate transitions, manage stress, and heal from past experiences that may still feel present. In our work together, you’ll find a supportive space where you can be your real self with no pressure and no judgment. Using approaches like Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work and EMDR, I help clients uncover what’s beneath the surface, strengthen their sense of self, and move toward greater balance and resilience. My goal is to walk alongside you as you learn new ways to thrive, not just get by.

I earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree specializing in Psychiatry from The University of Texas at Arlington. I am proud to say I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am a true believer that not one of my fellow humans is immune to stress, anxiety, and feelings of sadness at some point in their life. We all find ourselves feeling vulnerable at times. It is completely normal to question why we feel the emotions that we do, why we seem to fall apart at times, and better yet, how we can get through it all in one beautiful piece. I think the first step to meaningful recovery from anxiety, depression, complex mental illness, and/or substance use is to reach out and ask for help. It is a difficult, but very brave action. I am not one to judge, look down on, question your past experiences, or current situation. I am very good at rationally breaking down a situation and I can offer practical advice and medication suggestions depending on your goal in mind. Dr. Aw's primary interest is the intersection between mental and physical health. Dr. Aw’s philosophy is that one does not exist outside the other. Furthermore, depression and anxiety in patients who are also suffering from medical issues can feel significantly worse, and it is his goal to get patients on a holistic road to recovery. An ideal patient for Dr. Aw understands that it takes a team to get them feeling better, and it is a collaboration between the patients themselves and Dr. Aw.

Y’all. Adulting is hard. You might be finishing school, moving out, starting a career, or trying to make big life choices that feel like they’ll define your future. It’s a lot. Between the pressure to “have your sh** together” and constantly comparing yourself to others, it’s easy to feel lost, anxious, depressed, or stuck. Stepping into adulthood can be exciting–and overwhelming. No matter how much you’ve prepared yourself for this moment, change is tough and let’s be real–adulting is hard. Growing up doesn’t come with a roadmap ( I know, I wish it did too.), but that’s because everyone’s path can look different. Many young adults come to therapy for help with challenges like: -Anxiety or stress about school, work, the future, and feeling “behind” -Overthinking and self-doubt that won’t turn off -Difficulty making decisions or feeling stuck in “what’s next” -Identity exploration–figuring out values, goals, or sense of self -Relationship changes with friends, family, or partners -Depression from not feeling like you’re good enough -Burnout from trying to do it all -Life transitions, like moving out, finishing college or starting a new job These challenges are adult growing pains, like when your legs used to hurt before you grew a couple inches. But you know, emotionally. Maybe you also have some baggage from the past that can make navigating these challenges even more difficult (Thanks parents!).
