You are not alone! I want to thank you and congratulate you for coming to my page. Therapy is not an easy task and it takes sincere courage to seek out the help that you need. Whether your goals are big or small, together we can surely find a path in therapy that fits your needs. I have found that therapy is not a 'one size fits all' which is why I take a more integrative approach to helping clients. Right now I am offering services both in person and online. Available Monday-Friday during the day with extended hours on some weeknights. Please contact me for further information. My focuses lie in sexual abuse, trauma/PTSD, eating disorders (or eating related issues) and grief. I am also well versed in other areas such as general mood disorders (like anxiety and depression), borderline personality disorder, stress or burnout, school/work problems, amongst many others. I am specifically trained in EMDR, CBT, and CBT-E. Taking the first step towards therapy can seem super intimidating, but you don't need to have everything figured out - give me a call!
Greetings! My goal is to provide a safe, nurturing style of therapy. The most important predictor of success in therapy is the relationship between therapist and client. It is that the client feels the therapist cares about them. We call this the “therapeutic alliance”. I specialize in the areas of body image, couples counseling, perfectionism, addiction, and mood disorders. I offer Christian counseling if a client would like it. I utilize CBT, Motivational Interviewing, art therapy, DBT, all with a warm, compassionate approach.
Collaborative Health Center is a group practice with 17 clinicians with diverse backgrounds, specialties, training, and interests. We believe in offering an environment that most effectively nurtures growth and healing in our clients. We treat children, adolescents, families, and adults. While our practitioners' trainings are generalized, we have specialties in the areas of anxiety, depression, adolescents, marriage and family therapy, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Some clients come to us knowing exactly what they want to work on, others come only with a general sense that they would like things (job, relationships, mood, etc.) to be better, and many somewhere in between. We would love the opportunity to partner with you to make tomorrow better than today. Please visit us at: www.collaborativehealthcenter.com!

For most people, there comes a time when life’s stressors become too great for the individual to manage on their own. Unhealthy thought patterns and coping behaviors can add to this stress and even isolate the person from their usual support system. Those that seek assistance through therapy may find that they are able to learn new ways of coping with stress. Or, they may learn to view situations through a different perspective. The intervention or change for each person varies based on that individual’s needs. I look forward to building a partnership with my clients to meet each individual’s specific goals and desired outcomes. In order for a therapist and client to make significant change, a strong therapeutic relationship is essential. I aim to provide a respectful, safe, and supportive environment where the client and therapist are free to be honest. By building this trustful partnership, we are able to identify and address the individual’s specific goals and needs. I believe clients are the experts on their own lives, and so I meet them right where they are at in their healing journey. From there, we’ll work together to determine a plan that effectively addresses their unique needs. I believe in the importance of tailoring therapeutic interventions to each specific client to maximize positive outcomes.

Have you been feeling overwhelmed with things in your life? Have you been feeling like your coping skills aren't working any longer? Have you been drinking alcohol or using drugs to make it through the day? If you said yes to any of these questions, then you are the closest you have ever been to changing your life. Being able to recognize that things aren't how you want them to be takes a lot of strength, courage and insight. Often suffering happens in silence. That is why I believe the way to get control of your life back is by sharing openly, and honestly about your experience without judgment Due to my own personal and professional experiences, I have extensive training and experience working with people experiencing life changes, trauma, substance use, addiction and ADHD. My style of therapy is supportive, yet at the same time I am willing to challenge you and kindly call you out. I try to keep it real with the people I work with. Everyone deserves to feel valued, recognized, and heard, including YOU. I truly believe reaching out for help is the strongest, and most courageous action someone can do. If you are looking for someone who is going to actively help you find ways to improve your situation, then reach out to me. I can't promise that puns and dad jokes wont be used as well!

Mental health issues are often most noticeable in our relationships. Clients I work with tend to experience anxiety, overwhelming emotions, and self-esteem issues that feel especially present when they are with others. This can impact your dating life, your ability to find and maintain friendships, and your satisfaction in longer term romantic and familial relationships. I help clients identify painful patterns in their lives, then dig deeper to understand where they are coming from. After working together, clients feel more in control of their emotions and relationships, which leads to a greater sense of calm in their lives.
My expertise and skill set best fit those needing support with anxiety, stress, life transitions and ADHD. My strengths reside in my ability to connect, understand and ask questions to gain insight. When clients work with me in therapy, they do so in a relaxed, individualized space. Together we will gain a deeper understanding of how you cope and function and discover what you need to live a more balanced, happy, and fulfilled life. I design therapy around your needs and pull from multiple approaches including, but not limited to, client centered therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Schedule your free 15 minute consultation today via my website to see if we are a good fit. I look forward to meeting you. therapywithmoore.com

I work with children, adolescents, and young adults. I am an MSU grad myself, and currently have both present and former clients who are students at State. I am offering short-term crises-type services at no charge to students affected by the recent tragic events on campus. Since I also have a busy practice in Novi, which is about an hour away from MSU, I would need to hold our sessions virtually. I have about 30 years experience as a therapist, and I would like to be of help during this very difficult time.
