My philosophy is that curiosity is what life is about. I am constantly curious about life and about my clients. I strive to learn as much as I can so I can work together with clients to help them better their lives and reach their goals. I try to pull from many therapeutic models, using what works best for the client. I truly believe that with open eyes and a kind heart, I can meet the client where they are and help bring them to where they want to be. I truly believe that I didn’t choose this path; it chose me. I knew I wanted to go into the mental health field since I was a senior in high school, but I just didn’t know to what capacity. I was always very curious about the inner workings of relationships. I love that I am welcomed into people’s lives and given the opportunity to see them at both their most vulnerable and most resilient. Being a part of someone’s growth is one of the most amazing parts of my job.

I use a holistic and client-centered approach. My focus is on establishing rapport, creating goals and visions you have for yourself, as well as building insight and helping you manage stressors. I have a strong desire to help others feel understood, to confront both joy and pain, and to support others in not only surviving, but reviving and thriving through this one wild and precious life. I have been told I specialize in “you go girl therapy”, and I tend to agree. I want to provide you with support, empathy, a shoulder to cry on, and to join you in celebration dances as you work to meet your goals. Can’t wait to work with you, Mama! Navigating my own path through the great adventure of motherhood has been the greatest and most challenging journey of my life. I understand the pull that mothers feel in so many different directions, and the guilt, pressure, and overwhelming joy that comes with it. Before beginning my journey to becoming a licensed clinician, I worked in career services assisting students and adults in discovering their career paths and meeting their goals. Like many moms, kiddos sparked a change in my own career path. Now, I am able to work with clients moving through their own career transitions, defining success, exploring the tax of motherhood in the corporate world, the anxiety and/or depression around work and work-life, and the unique challenges that come with being both a unique individual and a kick-ass mom. My experience counseling moms, dads, expecting parents, couples, and those in the ecosystem of family, such as grandparents and caregivers, has solidified my personal belief that there is no one way to be a great caregiver. Let’s find what works for you, brings you joy, and helps you to realize your full potential during this wonderful, wearing, and wild moment in time.

I consider the relationship between client and therapist one of the most important factors in therapy. As a therapist, my goal is to create a comfortable, non-judgmental space so I can assist others in exploring negative patterns in their lives and help them develop new tools to foster positive coping skills. I utilize a holistic approach to therapy, with special focus on the body and mind and how they interact. As a registered yoga teacher, my treatment approach places emphasis on turning inward and reconnecting with the body to help release stored emotions. I use a trauma-informed approach to life issues with clients and incorporate mindfulness skills, somatic movement, and breathwork into my therapy practice. I specialize in treating anxiety disorders, PTSD, and mood disorders. Additionally, I work with clients who are experiencing grief and loss, life transitions, addiction, caregiver stress, interpersonal/relationship problems, and codependency.
