Psychotherapy can benefit people facing a range of challenges. Currently, I see adults and adolescents struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship or interpersonal difficulties, and sometimes with health/illness issues. I see many people experiencing distress and other symptoms associated with life transitions such as adolescence, marriage, new parenthood or challenges in family planning, divorce, professional or personal role redefinition, retirement, and aging. I provide counseling to individuals and couples struggling with the shifting roles and demands of these complicated times. Therapy is a collaboration. I bring a warm, curious, nonjudgmental nature, an appreciation for individual differences, spontaneity and value of humor. Together, we explore patterns, thoughts, and feelings from the past and present. Clients begin therapy not only with identified concerns but also with resources that can be harnessed for lasting change. I use an active, contemporary approach to psychotherapy. I integrate psychodynamic, relational and cognitive-behavioral models and, where appropriate, health psychology, tailoring my work to each individual and their circumstances. My goal is to help people find relief from their suffering and to discover new ways of experiencing life to its fullest.

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Megan. I am a therapist-in-training at SolHealth and am excited to begin working together! I would like to take a moment to introduce myself and share a bit about what you can expect as we begin sessions together. I am a first-year master’s degree student in the Mental Health Counseling program at City College of New York. I received an interdisciplinary degree in Science, Technology, and Society where I focused on Psychology, Sociology, and Cultural Studies at Farmingdale State College. I have previously interned in schools where I worked with populations experiencing anxiety and difficulties with life transitions. I also worked as an ABA therapist where I specialized in working with clients with developmental disabilities. My primary modalities of therapy are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Adlerian Therapy. My therapeutic approach incorporates: mindfulness exercises to help with stress management, reducing stress and anxiety, overcoming depression, developing self-compassion, and creating a meaningful life for yourself. I believe in exploring an individual’s past and present while empowering them in a safe, non-judgmental, and collaborative space. Megan Pinzel is a therapist-in-training at Sol Health. Sol Health is a digital health startup that offers $30 therapy to Gen Zs by connecting them with therapists-in-training accruing clinical hours. I love the privilege of working with creative, insightful individuals looking to better understand themselves. Based on what you find useful, we’ll incorporate existential, artistic, spiritual, and humanistic approaches. From me, you can expect warmth, investment, and- where appropriate- humor to support increased perspective. This highly personalized process is one of the best efforts any of us can make for our health. Experienced in treating ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, depression disorders (MDD, PDD), and generalized anxiety. Healing is nonlinear, therapy is best when it’s unrushed, and it’s really important that it happens at your own pace. I am a final-year clinical student at Columbia, focusing on treatment for young adults and adolescents, and did my BA at Yale. "It was what I was born for—to look, to listen, to lose myself inside this soft world." —Mary Oliver, "Mindful"

Share your college struggle with me, and I will provide you with a safe space to grow. Privately and at your pace we will explore who you are inside, carefully unpacking what is at the root of every worry, your sadness, anger, or any other uncomfortable experience during this initial foray into adulthood. We will suss out your internal conflicts by exploring your attempts to master problems of the past by repeating patterns in the present, working your known issues toward resolution. No trauma is too great or too small for us to talk about. Our efforts will impart more freedom and equanimity in your choices, and open you up to feel more passionate and alive. I use an active relational psychoanalytic approach to therapeutically make meaning of psychological and emotional difficulties through an ongoing conversation. You simply talk about what is bothering you and free associate to your life. Collaboratively, we will examine how and why your patterns in living, though intelligent adaptations and defenses that once helped you to survive, may no longer serve you, so that you may accept and care for yourself and have a richer, fuller life. Our alliance will help you find balance in work, love and play, and will develop your agency to manage every life challenge with autonomy and self-confidence. Psychoanalysis offers lasting change, and finding just the right therapist for you is essential to the process. Reach out for a free consultation today to see if we make a good fit.

If you were looking for a sign to try therapy, consider this that sign. Life feels hard, and everyone and everything feels overwhelming. You just want to feel better but don't even know where to begin. You don't have to figure it all out on your own. So let's talk. Even better, let's collaborate. I have a relaxed style based on science but led by empathy and humor. I commonly help clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions, or even just a case of the "blahs." Our work together will be as unique as you are to pinpoint and address your personal goals. I commonly I pull from evidence-based treatments including cognitive and psychodynamic therapies geared to target unhelpful thoughts, build up your coping skills or work through past and current patterns. During our sessions, you can expect to feel safe, seen, and fully embraced- just as you are. I look forward to connecting with you to learn how we can enhance your well-being, alleviate the stress and pain you may be experiencing and find your joy again.

Life’s challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face them alone. As a Filipino-American immigrant and career switcher (former medical student and tech sales professional), I understand the complexities of navigating major life transitions—whether adjusting to a new culture, finding your place in a demanding career, or balancing personal and professional expectations. I specialize in supporting high-achieving young professionals, first-generation Asian-Americans, healthcare workers, medical spouses, immigrants, and international students facing anxiety, burnout, imposter syndrome, self-worth, identity, and relationship challenges. My approach is warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive. Together, we’ll explore how past experiences shape your present, helping you break free from patterns that no longer serve you. Fluent in English and Tagalog, I offer a space where you can unpack your experiences, build self-trust, and move forward with clarity. My ideal client is someone navigating a significant life transition—whether it’s entering a new phase of life, adjusting to a career shift, or healing after the end of a relationship, or starting a new one. They may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected from themselves and others. They often appear high-functioning on the outside but internally struggle with self-doubt, perfectionism, or emotional exhaustion. Their needs often include learning how to manage stress, set healthy boundaries, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen relationships. I have 13 years of experience and am licensed in three states. My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, presence, and collaboration. I draw primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based practices to help clients build psychological flexibility, develop deeper self-awareness, and move toward a more values-driven life. I believe that healing begins in the context of a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. Therapy is a shared process, and I deeply respect the courage it takes to show up and be vulnerable. My role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance and insight.

Hi! My name is Patricia. I am a therapist in training, trying to provide a space with compassion, dedication, and support in order to help my clients, in their own capacity, to heal and thrive. To provide a place where they can feel safe and have their voice heard. I use a couple of different modalities depending on what the client needs because every client is unique. I usually gravitate towards a client-centered approach and implement cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT). However, I will adapt and tailor my therapeutic approach depending on what the client needs and what the best fit is. I am committed to providing a safe, judgment free space and help my clients grow and get themselves into a healthier place. If you want to learn more about me, check out my bio on the Sol Health website!
