Andrew Persaud
I have been in the mental health field since 2018, starting as a peer counselor before earning my graduate degree in counseling. I specialize in supporting the LGBTQ-plus population and have worked with individuals throughout New York State, always using an empathetic and understanding approach. As a South Asian and Hispanic queer therapist, I deeply understand the complexities and stigma surrounding mental health, especially within communities of color. I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy, offering tailored strategies that honor your unique experiences and empower you to uncover new insights about yourself.
Lee Phillips, LLC
My purpose is to ultimately help my clients achieve the goals they wish to accomplish. I offer a safe, empathetic and a warm environment. I use interventions that offer not only symptom relief, but also a means to improve emotional connections to the individual and others. I have experience in treating LGBTQIA populations, depression, sexual challenges, anxiety disorders, trauma, bipolar disorder, substance use disorders, chronic pain, chronic illness, disabilities, and disease. As a dedicated psychotherapist, certified substance abuse counselor, and certified sex and couple’s therapist, I use holistic approaches where I treat the whole person and not just the symptoms. Clients who are in non-monogamous, swingers, polyamorous, and/or kink relationships are welcomed.

Jim Weitzer
Jim is currently a staff therapist for Sarah Lawrence College and is offering telehealth therapeutic support through his private practice in New York State. While he has experience supporting a wide range of clients, Jim’s time at SLC has helped him hone his skill set with undergraduate and graduate students, athletes, members of the queer- and trans communities, and performing artists. Jim uses an eclectic therapeutic approach, combining psychodynamic, person-centered, REBT and IFS modalities to address the needs of his clients. His 25-year acting career (Broadway, national tours, regional theatre, new works, concerts, etc.) informs his curiosity about how we may authentically inhabit the various roles we all play in our lives.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults who feel stuck between what anxiety is telling them to do and the life they actually want to live. It’s common to feel overwhelmed by anxiety or OCD, getting caught in cycles of overthinking, avoidance, and feeling stuck, you’re not alone. Using evidence-based treatments like ERP, PE, HRT, and Behavioral Activation, I help clients learn to respond differently to intrusive thoughts, reduce avoidance, and move toward what matters most. Together, we focus on building a life guided by values rather than fear. ERP provides structure and direction. My goal is to help you feel more confident handling whatever shows up and partner with families to create consistency and support outside of sessions. Taking the first step can be hard, but you don’t have to do it by yourself, I'd be happy to connect and see how I can support you.

Robert Gooding (Sol Health)
I’ve always thought that the most beautiful and interesting trees in the forest are the ones that grow into unique forms, shaped by their environment but finding a way to adapt and thrive. Similarly, life’s challenges can shape us in profound ways, but they can also leave us feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck. I’m Rob Gooding, a second-year graduate student at St. Bonaventure University studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am deeply passionate about helping individuals navigate these challenges and uncover their inner resilience to live fulfilling and authentic lives. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for growth and healing. To me, it’s a privilege to walk alongside clients as they share their stories and embark on their journey toward self-discovery and empowerment. My approach is grounded in person-centered principles, recognizing that you are the expert in your own life. I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, valued, and supported. By integrating evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Solution-Focused Therapy, I work with clients to reframe negative thought patterns, develop practical skills, and prioritize their needs. Together, we’ll build tools to navigate challenges with confidence and clarity. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, academic pressures, identity exploration, or life transitions, you don’t have to face it alone. I’m here to help you rediscover your strengths, adapt to life’s demands, and create meaningful change. Just like those unique trees in the forest, your story is one of resilience and growth – and it would be an honor to support you on your path. Robert Gooding is a therapist in-training at Sol Health. We get so many messages in our lives about what is expected and how we "should" be living; social media, friends, and culture can all provide an idea of what we should be reaching for, which can often feel confusing and frustrating. If we grow up with dysfunction and trauma, it can seem even more confusing. We struggle with these expectations and somehow still feel we are coming up short. It can become an exhausting pursuit! It gets harder and harder to listen to our own voice, and what our needs are. I am drawn to helping people who have dealt with trauma and feel persistent isolation and sadness in their daily lives. Together, we can try to look at things a different way, and navigate a different path. Let's explore together, like astronauts! By gaining perspective, we can find opportunities for strength and agency in our everyday lives. By connecting to new support, we can make our own space to think about things we didn't know were possible. My goal is to create a safe space for exploration and support you on this path. Making the first step can be intimidating, but we can also go to new places. Contact me to setup a free consultation call to figure out how we can move forward together.
