I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a private practice in midtown Manhattan. When I decided to go back to school for a master’s degree, I chose social work because I felt strongly about its foundational belief that focus should be on both a person and their environment. During graduate school at Fordham University I saw many appealing paths I could continue on after graduation. While both macro and micro levels of practice are extremely important, I felt best suited for work with individuals on a deeper level. I wanted to further my education and went on to complete the four-year postgraduate training program in Adult Psychoanalysis and Comprehensive Psychotherapy from The National Institute for the Psychotherapies. Prior to private practice I worked with a diverse population in various clinics throughout New York City. In addition to private practice I have been guest faculty at the Training Institute for Mental Health and taught a course on Eating Disorders. In March 2020, I completed a post master’s program in Spirituality and Social Work at New York University.

College can be a great time to start exploring relationships and even making long-term bonds. However, the stresses of college life can challenge even the most loving of relationships. I assist couples to identify communication and intimacy issues that prevent them from connecting both physically and emotionally. There is no size fits all. Thus, I seek to collaborate with my clients to co-create a therapeutic experience that creates the trust necessary to do deeper work.

After a long and incredibly fulfilling career in oncology social work, I left the medical field choosing instead to transfer all I have learned into the more personal setting of private practice. This has allowed me the wonderful opportunity to really lean in and focus completely on the one-to-one support I had always been so passionate about but rarely had the time to pursue in the hospital. Presently my practice is fully remote. I am collaborative, interactive, and always open to feedback as we take this journey together. As far as my clinical approaches, I draw a great deal of inspiration from meaning-centered psychotherapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness and self-compassion approaches. Most importantly though, my role is to hold space for you, creating an atmosphere of unconditional support and safety so that, together, we can explore and address the challenges you are facing. I am a therapist at Octave, a behavioral health practice creating a new standard for mental health care that’s both high-quality and accessible. To learn more about my availability, please reach out to our Client Experience team by emailing or calling.

Anxiety, depression, and those really difficult feelings can make us feel stuck, but there is hope. Let's focus on feeling better, personal growth, and healing by looking at the world through your eyes. Allow me to assist you through an empathetic lens that doesn't ask ""What's wrong with you?"", but instead, wonders what experiences lead you to where you are now. From there, we can figure out how to get you where you truly want to be. I use a trauma-informed lens and solution-focused approach to help guide the work I do with my clients. I like to give my clients autonomy and make them feel like I am meeting them where they are. I'm a therapist with Octave and Evernorth Behavioral Care Group. Octave is a mental health practice providing high-quality care covered by multiple insurances. Evernorth Behavioral Care Group is a behavioral health provider group in-network with Cigna Healthcare and Evernorth. For my availability, please reach out to Octave’s team by emailing or calling.

I love my work and look forward to helping people who are looking to make their lives just a bit sunnier. We all have struggles but they don't have to weigh us down to the point where it is hard to let in joy, happiness and fulfillment. I work with clients to develop acheivable goals using my available tools as a therapist such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt Therapy and Yoga Therapy where appropriate. I see people of both sexes and all ages but seem to have developed a specialty of working with people in their 20s and 30s.
