I use a warm and collaborative approach grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help my clients navigate life transitions, identity development, and manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, and OCD. My goal is to help each person leave sessions with greater insight, practical tools, and an increased confidence in themselves and their ability to reach their goals. My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I believe meaningful change happens when people feel safe, supported, and empowered to better understand themselves and who they want to become. I especially enjoy working with adolescents and young adults as they navigate one of life's most transformative periods. I have experience supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD and OCD-related symptoms, and life transitions. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or trying to make sense of where you are in life, I strive to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and comfortable being your authentic self. My style is both validating and gently challenging. After we have established trust and safety, I am not afraid to ask difficult questions that encourage deeper reflection and growth. My hope is that every session leaves you with something tangible—whether it is a new strategy, meaningful insight, different perspective, or practical tool you can carry with you outside of therapy. My goal is to help you build resilience, trust yourself more deeply, and feel more equipped to navigate whatever comes next.
Carpe Diem Mental Health Counseling PLLC
Life can resemble a journey filled with straight paths, unexpected curves, and occasional detours. There are moments when we might feel lost, encounter dead ends, or navigate through uncertainty. During these times, having a supportive co-pilot can be invaluable in helping us stay focused on our goals. I frequently employ an integrative approach in my practice. I've observed that Schema Therapy and Humanistic methods enhance our capacity to discover meaning and true fulfillment in life by helping us understand the origins of our current symptoms and transforming unhealthy, self-defeating behaviors. I have over 11 years of experience as a psychotherapist and 8 years in leadership roles. Currently, I serve as a Clinical Director in the nonprofit sector, bringing a supportive and skilled approach to my work with the community we serve. I offer a tailored and comprehensive psychotherapy approach, emphasizing psychoeducation to empower clients on their personal journeys. I invite individuals to embrace the transformative benefits of therapy, offering support through life's challenges. My bilingual practice serves diverse communities with services available in both English and Spanish through secure teletherapy sessions. I work with clients facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and low self-esteem. Rather than dwelling on what is wrong, we will emphasize your unique potential and strengths. You will take an active part in your treatment, while I serve as a supportive and knowledgeable guide. I have considerable experience working with clients from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds. Psychotherapy offers a collaborative opportunity to work together towards your personal destination. My approach is tailored and comprehensive, with a strong emphasis on psychoeducation to empower you on your journey. I invite you to embrace the transformative benefits of therapy. Let's take this journey together!
Rev. Sheri Heller, LCSW, RSW
For 30+ years, I've helped adults recover from complex trauma, developmental and attachment trauma, narcissistic and psychopathic abuse, addictive disorders, emotional neglect and chronic relationship difficulties. My clients are insightful, motivated individuals struggling with codependency, dissociation, or the lasting effects of childhood trauma. Through trauma-informed psychodynamic therapy we identify and transform the survival patterns that once protected you but now limit your life. Healing fosters regulation and safety, allowing the parts of yourself exiled by fear, neglect, betrayal, and chronic adaptation to be reclaimed. I integrate psychodynamic, relational, and trauma-informed therapy with attachment theory, somatic awareness, neuroscience, mindfulness, and spiritual exploration. My goal is not simply symptom relief, but helping you create a cohesive, authentic life aligned with your deepest values and fullest potential. Therapy is a collaborative process grounded in curiosity, compassion and respect. Together we excavate the deeper origins of your emotional suffering while developing practical tools for nervous system regulation, healthier relationships, and lasting change. Even when trauma has shaped your life new patterns of safety, connection, and vitality can emerge.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and has worked in the area of counseling since 2019. I have training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I feel therapy is a process between the therapist and client to explore and understand what the client is experiencing, to come up with coping skills that best fits them and their circumstances. College and the years around it can stir up a lot. Anxiety, depression, relationships, identity, questions around substance use, and sometimes experiences that are genuinely hard to carry alone. If any of that feels familiar, you've found someone who understands. I work with adults and young adults, and I believe most of what brings people to therapy makes sense once we understand the story behind it. Many of the patterns causing you pain today were once the ways you learned to survive. My style is warm, compassionate, and direct, and I'll meet you with acceptance rather than judgment. A significant part of my work has involved supporting people through addiction and recovery, alongside trauma, attachment, and the search for identity. My approach draws on psychodynamic, relational, and trauma-informed perspectives, with attention to both mind and body. We'll move at your pace, and telehealth makes it easy to fit therapy around a full schedule. Whatever you're facing, you won't face it alone.

Together we will review and weigh the anxious, depressive, resentful, or otherwise negative thoughts and behavioral patterns to determine their merit and usefulness and work on promoting alternative, healthy thoughts and patterns to replace them. We will be looking at the whole you, the biological, social, emotional, and logical parts of you and how they interact with one another. We will be looking at daily activities, self-care, social interaction, hopes, dreams, and more to inspire ways to begin living in a way that is closer to the life you want to be living. We will work on expressing and processing emotions through discussion of various specific stressors, as I have seen that we can more easily see patterns in how we handle reoccurring, specific situations in the past and present. All of this will be done in a nonjudgmental, supportive, and authentic space. I look forward to walking beside you at this crossroads in your life. I am a therapist at Octave, a behavioral health practice creating a new standard for mental health care that’s both high-quality and accessible. I work well with people who have a sense of humor, who are curious about themselves and others, and who are looking for honesty and directness when it's appropriate. Our sessions together will not look like the stereotypical image of therapy you might have in mind: you draped across an ottoman, and me simply listening nearby. The goal is that our sessions be conversational and collaborative. Much of my experience has been helping young adults manage anxiety and stress around life changes and relationships. I believe that our past experiences shape us and in our sessions together I'll ask you to draw from your past in order to help inform and make meaning of the present. In your late teens and twenties, figuring out who you are and what you want can be really overwhelming. I'm here to help you navigate the complicated feelings that come with becoming an adult. Please check out my website or reach out for a free consultation if you think we might be good fit or if you want to learn more about me.

You built a life and career by being the reliable one. The strong and independent one. The high-performer. Now you wake up tired, restless, and questioning who you are beneath the grind. I work with BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and Adult Children of Immigrants navigating burnout, complex trauma, perfectionism, anxious stress, and identity conflict who feel lost in this stage of life and want to reconnect with themselves. Clients often say they are overwhelmed, stuck in overthinking, shutting down in relationships, or carrying stress in their body. Through trauma focused therapy, we explore the parts of you shaped by survival, family expectations, culture, and attachment. I integrate somatic work, IFS, CBT, and liberation based therapy to build awareness, emotional inner balance, and boundaries that reflect your values. As a 1st generation Haitian and Black therapist I know reaching out can feel loaded when you are used to handling everything alone. You do not have to justify needing support. I offer a 20 minute phone or video consultation to explore fit and help you take a steady first step toward change.

College can be a meaningful and exciting chapter, but it can also bring intense pressure, uncertainty, identity questions, family stress, relationship challenges, burnout, anxiety, and executive functioning struggles. My practice offers a warm, collaborative space where students can slow down, feel understood, and develop practical tools for navigating both emotional distress and daily life demands. At Karuna Psychotherapy & Consulting , therapy is trauma-responsive, compassion-focused, and neuroscience-informed, with an emphasis on mind–body integration, relational attunement, and authentic human connection. At Karuna, we support deep healing, wholeness, and personal growth through compassionate, relational, mind–body psychology. I work from a non-shaming, culturally aware , LGBTQ+ affirming, and neurodiversity-affirming perspective. Together, we may explore patterns of stress, self-criticism, avoidance, perfectionism, overwhelm, attachment wounds, or disconnection from the body. My approach integrates evidence-informed psychotherapy, mindfulness, self-compassion, nervous system regulation, parts work, and insight-oriented reflection. My goal is to help students feel safer within themselves, better able to understand their emotions, and more empowered to move toward relationships, values, and choices that support their well-being.

My therapeutic approach rests on three pillars — collaborative, compassionate, and patient-centered. That means cultivating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where everyone feels validated and empowered as they work through life's difficulties. I've had the privilege of partnering with people from all over the world. Being surrounded by individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds has been incredibly rewarding and strengthened my ability to provide culturally responsive care. Adolescents, young adults, and older adults navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, and relationship challenges have been part of my caseload. With each one, I work to ensure they feel comfortable enough to show up as their true selves, knowing I will always listen. Patients navigating personal, family, and environmental stressors have also worked with me to strengthen resilience and improve emotional well-being. My practice draws on both psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). The psychodynamic side has patients explore how past experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns shape their current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while CBT techniques allow them to identify and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, gain insight, and build effective coping skills. I tailor this integration to each person’s unique needs, helping them move firmly toward lasting growth. Earlier in my career, I worked with a city social services agency assisting individuals and families living in migrant shelters, and with a nonprofit organization offering a wide range of community-based services. In both roles, I found it deeply fulfilling to make a tangible impact on the lives of the families and individuals I served. Whether I was providing counseling, advocating for their needs, connecting them with resources, or helping them navigate available services, I cherished the opportunity to support people during challenging times while watching them achieve stability and happiness.
