Thank you for taking the time to read more about my practice! I started my career working in college counseling centers and continue to enjoy working with students for both therapy and assessment services. In my therapy practice, I use a number of mindfulness based strategies that help with depression, anxiety, performance, attention, and relationships. I also have my 200 hour yoga certification and strongly believe in the importance of mind-body wellness. My assessment practice focuses on ADHD and learning disability diagnoses. I am experienced in providing the needed documentation for students registering with their disability support offices and when taking exams such as the GRE, GMAT, and LSAT.

My approach to therapy is focused on developing genuine relationships that are collaborative and empathic, so clients can feel safe, understood, and supported in sessions. I’m committed to exploring and affirming each client's individuality and intersecting identities, and to supporting individuals in the LGBTQ+ and CNM communities, college students, and professors. I work with adults focused on issues related to social anxiety, ADHD, trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, relationship/communication dynamics, and climate anxiety. Sessions are based on a foundation of relational warmth and safety to build a sense of connection, empowerment, deeper insight, and personal resiliency. I primarily draw from person-centered, feminist, trauma-informed, narrative, and IFS approaches, but there is not one specific kind of therapy that works well for everyone. We all have unique strengths and perspectives. Sessions focus on identifying ways to create sustainable positive changes given each client's particular context and lived experience.

Reaching out for support can be hard, but you are not alone. Everyone has experienced their own life journey which can involve grief/loss, relational ruptures, parenting struggles or trauma. Sometimes this journey can leave adults in a place where it is hard to find the motivation to complete everyday tasks, manage life stress or have patience with our loved ones. This can be true for children too, which may cause them to struggle in school, have emotional outbursts or display signs of anxiety. No matter what is bringing you, your child, or family to this moment in time, I am honored to be a part of your journey. With 7+ years of experience working with adults, teens, children and infants I am well versed in several different therapeutic techniques that can be adapted to fit each person’s needs. In addition to being a clinical social worker, I am also a Registered Play Therapist and have extensive training in providing Infant/Child-Parent Psychotheray. It is crucial to healing to find a therapist that is the right fit. I believe that meaningful change comes from having a safe space where you can bring your true and authentic self without judgement; this is true for both adults and children. My goal is not to have the answers but to partner with you through the journey of healing and discovering yourself.

I'm a mental health counselor specializing in anxiety, depression, familial and relationship distress, trauma, grief, workplace stressors, stress management, and life transitions, for young adults and adults ages 18 and up. Together, we'll work to ease symptoms, address your struggles, and process trauma from childhood or the present, while strengthening communication, adjusting to life's transitions, building social skills, and developing healthy coping tools. Compassion, empathy, authenticity, and accountability are qualities I bring to every session, where I look forward to witnessing the moments when you gain clarity, deepen your self-awareness, and build confidence to face obstacles. Each session is approached with genuine authenticity and curiosity, dedicated to making a meaningful and positive impact. Think of it this way: you're the captain of your ship, and I'm the lighthouse beacon helping guide you through stormy waters. This partnership is part of a powerful process, and I'm honored that you've chosen me to accompany you on your journey. Meeting you where you are, in a patient-centered way, is the foundation of everything I do. From there, I empower you with tools to enrich your life and the confidence to conquer life's challenges. I envision a collaborative effort with you by creating a safe, non-judgmental, and warm space where you can explore who you are and gain clarity and introspection, drawing on approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic and relational work, and Jungian psychology, incorporating shadow work when it fits. Empathy, compassion, and understanding guide how I support your growth every step of the way. My journey to becoming a therapist was sparked during my undergraduate years through a meaningful friendship with a psychology student. This friendship revealed to me the vital role of healthy communication and effective coping skills in overcoming interpersonal challenges, inspiring my dedication to mental health. Additionally, assisting a friend through a panic attack and helping them stabilize strengthened my resolve to deliver exceptional mental health care. I consider myself a huge nerd, with a deep passion for movies and true-crime documentaries. Catching the latest films at the theater and getting swept up in the storytelling is one of my favorite ways to unwind. Video games are another interest of mine, and I enjoy exploring different worlds and challenging myself. I'm also a big anime fan, appreciating its unique art style and compelling narratives.

Many college students feel stressed, anxious, or unsure how to handle everything on their own. Between classes, friendships, family expectations, and figuring out what comes next, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed or stuck. Therapy gives you a space to process what you’re experiencing, understand yourself more clearly, and build coping skills that actually work in your day-to-day life. I offer virtual sessions, which makes it easier to fit therapy into your schedule wherever you are. My style is warm, supportive, and practical, and we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I come to the practice of counseling after many years working in student services in a university setting. I find (as the research continues to show) that the most important element of effective counseling is the connection between client and counselor—we will work collaboratively. I draw on many approaches including but not limited to client-centered, mindfulness, existential therapy, attachment theory, Buddhist psychology, solution-focused, trauma-informed, grief work, and internal parts work. I am in network with Aetna insurance and UHC/Optum and I also take direct pay (sliding scale is $170 to $120). I am seeing clients mostly through a HIPAA compliant video platform. Currently (Spring 2026), I do have a small number of openings for new clients. I am licensed to practice in New York, Connecticut, Maine, New Mexico, and registered for on line counseling in Florida and South Carolina.

Feeling overwhelmed by daily life and the weight of responsibilities and stress can be tough. Sometimes, we wonder if our emotions and feelings are just a part of typical life transitions. Let’s talk about it. Asking for help is the first step to finding a better place. It’s a journey to rediscover your values and take steps towards what truly matters to you. I believe therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach, but rather a personalized path to finding what works best for each individual. We’ll work together, and maybe even have some fun along the way. In getting to know each other, we will explore your values and goals and use strengths-based therapy, solution focused brief therapy, CBT, ACT and other approaches to best meet your needs. We will identify themes and thought patterns that impact your everyday life, and together we will explore techniques that work for you. I’m here to help with anxiety, depression, college transitions, perimenopause, grief and other challenges. I genuinely care about helping people and work with strengths-based and solution-focused approaches. We’ll build a therapeutic relationship based on mutual respect. Let’s work together to get you there!

My approach centers on engaging in conversation for self-discovery and awareness of your perspective, feelings and behavioral patterns. This internal world influences anxiety, depression, mood stability and reactivity. Therapy is where you can take the time to get to know more about yourself and ways to build helpful self-care practices. Many of my clients come to therapy experiencing self-doubt, critical inner narratives, as well as the weight of expectations around identity, achievement, and emotional expression. The college experience can bring about many challenges for mental health during an important transitional time. These expectations can distort our sense of self worth, making it challenging to define and meet important self-growth goals. I value a conversational approach to therapy, where you can feel open in expressing your thoughts, worries and internal narratives in order to ultimately choose if they are still serving you or it may be time to build different perspectives. How we speak to ourselves matters; it not only affects our mood but also our motivation, behavior, and ability to connect with others. When we cultivate an intentional internal dialogue that aligns with our values we can begin to unlock a greater sense of autonomy and capability. This process can lead to lessened anxiety, greater self confidence and self awareness.

If you've been feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns that aren't serving you, or disconnected from yourself or the people around you, you're not alone. Many of the patients I work with are searching for relief, clarity, and a greater sense of control. They want to feel more confident in their decisions, more at peace in their bodies and minds, and better equipped to handle daily stressors without becoming emotionally flooded. Some are also looking to rebuild self-trust and develop a healthier relationship with food, their body, and the people in their lives. As a Mental Health Counselor-Limited Permit (MHC-LP), my work centers on helping adolescents and young adults navigate anxiety, depression, OCD, disordered eating, and the challenges that come with major life transitions. That said, people at all stages of life are welcome here. My goal is to support you in creating lasting, meaningful change by helping you understand your patterns, build practical coping tools, and move toward a life that feels more stable and aligned with your values. Compassionate, authentic, and collaborative care is at the heart of everything I do. Creating a space where you feel genuinely supported and understood isn't just a goal; it's a commitment I bring to every session. We'll work together in an environment that is grounded and nonjudgmental, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and integrative, person-centered approaches to help you reduce anxiety, manage OCD patterns, and reconnect with a greater sense of balance in both mind and body. I'm especially passionate about the connection between mental and physical well-being, and supporting you in finding more freedom from anxious thinking, compulsive patterns, and self-criticism. Every aspect of our work is tailored to your unique needs, experiences, and goals, because there's no single path forward that works for everyone. My path to becoming a therapist began in pediatric oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering, where I supported children and families through cancer treatment. This experience shaped my passion for providing compassionate, steady care in moments of distress. I later worked in a school setting providing crisis intervention for children and young adults with complex emotional and behavioral needs. Over the past two years, I have worked in eating disorder treatment, supporting adolescents and young adults in building a more supportive relationship with food, body image, and emotional wellbeing. I also have experience providing trauma-focused care, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), to support clients in processing and healing from traumatic experiences. These experiences inform my trauma-informed, collaborative approach to care. I aim to help clients feel grounded, understood, and supported as they work toward meaningful change. When I'm not in session, I'm usually moving my body for enjoyment, catching a movie, or exploring a new coffee spot. Music is a big part of my life, whether that's listening at home or going to live concerts. Traveling, discovering new places, spending time with family and friends, and relaxing at the beach are some of my favorite ways to recharge.

I'm a zen practicing therapist+musician who loves working with people on their journeys to healthier relationships and becoming their most authentic selves. I was raised fundamentalist and spent my childhood learning fire and brimstone theology and memorizing verses from the King James Bible. Needless to say I chose to leave the "sinners in the hands of an angry God" mentality behind when I grew up. The truth is, being hard on ourselves doesn't help us or anyone else. But compassion, love, acceptance and presence connect us to who we really are, and who we can become. Along the journey, I've played a lot of music (with friends, in bands) and become a therapist. I wrote an album while in grad school and took a year off after grad school to play shows and work at a record store. I believe it's OK to have multiple passions, to want to do a lot of things, to use your voice, and to take your time figuring it all out. In our work together, I want to help you tap into your own creativity and inner wisdom while also drawing from evidence-based modalities to help you live a purposeful life, deepen your relationships, and reach your goals as a couple or as an individual. LGBTQI affirming. Puedo hablar contigo un poco de español, pero no puedo hablar con fluencia.
