I do evaluations for ADHD and autism in adults. The students I work with usually made it a long way on effort alone. They got good grades, got into a good school, and figured out their own systems for keeping up. Then something changed. The workload got heavier, the structure got looser, or they hit a semester where the old tricks stopped working, and suddenly they were reading the same paragraph four times, starting papers the night before, or so exhausted after a full day of class and people that they had nothing left. A lot of them have been told they are smart but not applying themselves. A lot of them have been treated for anxiety or depression, and it helped some, but not with the part that actually gets in the way. Many are Black students, women, or students who learned early to keep it together in public no matter what it cost. Nobody ever suggested testing, because from the outside they looked fine. Some come to me because a friend got diagnosed and it sounded familiar. Some come because they need documentation for accommodations and have no idea where to start. Some come because they are tired of not knowing. If any of that sounds like you, I do evaluations for ADHD and autism in adults. You do not need to have it figured out before you reach out. That is what the evaluation is for.

My story starts with losing a delivery job with UPS in my early 20s because I ran over two cones during training. I needed a new direction and found my passion for helping people. I am grateful I ran over those two cones because it changed my career. Now, I have 15 years of experience as a licensed mental health professional and started Cuda Counseling (CC), where I work with an amazing team. We help individuals succeed by dialing down their inner critic and creating an inner ally. I understand that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation of effective counseling. That's why I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment where you can freely discuss your challenges and wins. My action-oriented approach is designed to help you identify achievable measures of success, empowering you to realize your full potential. Don't hesitate to reach out if you're ready to experience inner freedom by identifying and overcoming challenging thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. Let's connect and start your journey towards more joy, better relationships, and peace. Remember, the first step is often the hardest and most rewarding.

The ancient rationale for psychotherapy in three quotations: 1) ''He who cannot describe the problem will never find the solution to the problem'' - Confucious (551-479 BCE); 2) ''The unexamined life is not livable for a human being'' (paraphrased as, ''The unexamined life is not worth living'') - Socrates, in Plato's ''Apology'' (ca 360 BCE); 3) ''Whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to provide for it.'' - Patrick Henry (1739-1799)

Making the choice to pursue therapy is an investment in yourself. Therapy is a journey that is shaped by the relationship established between the therapist and the client. Regardless of how the pursuit of therapy evolved, I aim to establish a relationship based on trust, honesty, humor, and respect. These qualities are imperative in working through the difficulties that can disrupt life and relationships. Together we will work toward the fulfillment of your goals and potential.

Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, emotionally exhausted, or unsure of how to move forward? With more than eight years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, I am comfortable supporting clients with a wide range of needs and diagnoses. I meet each client where they are and work collaboratively with them to build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and create realistic steps toward meaningful change. Some clients come to therapy seeking practical coping skills, while others need a safe place to process their experiences and better understand themselves. Whatever your reason may be, let's explore and work together. I specialize in working with individuals, families, and couples experiencing various mental health concerns, including anxiety, trauma and grief, depression, emotional dysregulation, mood disorders, stress, life transitions, substance abuse disorders, and serious mental illness. My approach is flexible and individualized because no single method works for everyone. Starting therapy can feel uncomfortable, especially when you are used to carrying everything on your own or have not always felt heard or understood. I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and judgment-free environment where you can be honest about what you are experiencing without fear of criticism.

Navigating College Can Feel Like a Lot—You Don't Have to Do It Alone. Hello, I'm Kasandra, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping adolescents, young adults, and families navigate life's challenges with compassion, understanding, and evidence-based care. College can be an exciting time of growth and independence, but it can also bring stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, academic pressure, uncertainty about the future, and the feeling that you're expected to have everything figured out. Whether you're adjusting to college life, navigating a major life transition, struggling with confidence, managing anxiety, or simply feeling overwhelmed, therapy can provide a space to pause, process, and move forward. With 10 years of clinical experience, I take a collaborative, client-centered, and strengths-based approach to therapy. I believe you already possess strengths and abilities that can help you navigate difficult situations, and my role is to help you recognize those strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and build greater confidence in yourself. You don't have to have a specific diagnosis or know exactly what you need from therapy to reach out. Sometimes, you may simply know that something feels different, you're struggling to keep up, or you want support as you figure out your next step. Together, we can explore what's weighing on you, identify your strengths, and develop tools to help you navigate this chapter of your life with greater confidence, clarity, and balance. Starting therapy is a courageous step. You don't have to navigate college and everything that comes with it alone.

My practice is geared toward teens and young adults. I provide professional cognitive and behavioral therapy (CBT) along with Gestalt therapy. Only during exceptional circumstances would medication management be offered. I always counsel low medication doses and follow up with patients frequently because I like to err on the side of caution. I believe in the value of a genuine understanding of mental health, a confidential place to self-explore, and a healthy patient-provider relationship that is trustworthy, cooperative, and supportive.

I specialize in therapy for young and emerging adult women with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and OCD to help them find balance and gain new perspectives on how they see the world and themselves. I challenge Perfectionists, Overthinkers, and People Pleasers to step out of their black-and-white thinking. In our work together, we’ll explore the patterns that have protected you in the past, dive deeper into your experiences, and notice the stories that your mind is telling you. We’ll work with both your mind and body, helping you tune into how your thoughts, emotions, and physical responses are connected. As an integrative therapist, I blend evidence-based practices with a human, relational approach—drawing from different modalities to meet you where you are and what you need most. My goal is to provide a balanced, trauma-informed, and holistic approach that addresses the whole person—mind, body, and emotions. If you’re ready to understand yourself more deeply, build healthier boundaries, strengthen your self-trust, and create more space for flexibility and self-compassion, feel free to reach out or schedule a free consultation through my website—I’d be honored to support you!

My approach to therapy is warm, inviting, and challenging. I value compassion and "realness" and approach my work with clients from a place of curiosity and respect. I believe the quality of the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful work to occur and work with my clients to identify what feels most important to explore and address in therapy. Our work together may involve processing and organizing difficult life experiences or memories, preparing for major life transitions, or navigating challenges relating to depression/anxiety. I've often worked with clients in processing trauma and experiences of grief, relationship difficulties, and difficulties relating to identity (e.g., navigating minority related stress, LGBTQIA+, immigration concerns, etc.). Because safety and compatibility are necessary for effective therapy work, I typically connect with potential clients for a 15-20 minute phone consultation. This will allow us both to determine if we feel like we would be a good fit. Please feel free to reach out if you'd like to connect. Email tends to elicit a quicker response, however phone is fine, too! :)

You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in old patterns, or navigating a major life transition. Maybe you’re carrying the weight of unresolved trauma, grief, or relationship challenges that you’ve managed for a long time — but now it feels like too much. You want to understand yourself more deeply, break out of cycles that no longer serve you, and move toward a more grounded, connected version of yourself. Most of all, you want to feel like yourself again — or maybe get to know who that even is.
