Therapists for college students near Portland, OR
I help clients recover from anxiety and depression and improve social relationships. I offer an insight-oriented approach. I also do EMDR and parts work. These modalities are helpful for trauma recovery and changing unhappy patterns. My goals are for clients to feel supported and understood. I recognize that each person has their own, internal wisdom. I like to understand and honor this wisdom as I work with you to build better mental health.
Do you love gaining insight into who you are? Are you a little more introverted and introspective? Do you see life as an opportunity to develop yourself and grow? Do you sometimes also feel guilty over potentially disappointing others, or are you constantly acting as a mediator in your relationships? If these questions resonate- then you might be an internalizer and we can do some wonderful work together to help you understand your past and help you become the most emotionally healthy version of yourself. My practice is focused on helping you develop insight into the "why" behind some of your struggles. I work with people facing depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, identity development (racial, sexual, spiritual, personality, etc), and difficulty processing loss. If any of that resonates please reach out and we can schedule a free consultation.

I strive to center transparency, humility, solidarity, and autonomy in my practice. I am trained as a generalist, but I am especially interested in and experienced with substance use, identity development and exploration, queer and trans health, relationship and family of origin concerns, trauma, perfectionism, and climate-related distress. I also specialize in working with young adults and completed my doctoral internship at UO Counseling Services. I offer individual teletherapy and WPATH assessment/letter of support for gender-affirming surgery. I welcome you to connect with me if you feel we might be a good fit!
