I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) dedicated to providing ethical, evidence-based mental health care. My professional approach is rooted in a holistic, patient-centered model that respects your individual needs, experiences, and cultural background. I believe every patient is different, which is why I curate individualized care plans that may include psychotherapy, medication management, lifestyle adjustments, or a combination of these approaches. My goal is to promote healing, recovery, and overall well-being while building a trusting therapeutic relationship. I hold a Master of Science in Nursing from St. Thomas University and bring extensive knowledge and expertise in diagnosing, treating, and evaluating a wide range of mental health conditions. By combining clinical knowledge, patient advocacy, and the adaptability of telemedicine, I ensure that my practice continually evolves with the most up-to-date psychiatric nursing standards. The process begins with an initial consultation where we review your history, current symptoms, and overall wellness. From there, we develop a personalized treatment plan together, adjusting as needed through ongoing communication. I invite you to book your appointment today so we can begin working toward lasting progress and meaningful change.

Would you like to recognize the positive things in your life and enjoy them without shame, self doubt or anxiety? Are you in recovery from abuse or other traumatic events or chronic stress? Many people lose hope without realizing there are effective ways to learn to walk through difficult times with ease and grace. I am trained in EMDR and The Daring Way treatment models created by Dr. Brenè Brown and have mindfulness training from Jack Kornfield and as a yoga teacher. It is difficult to reach out for help but we all need it at times. My office will be a safe place for you to share your feelings and learn to manage life mindfully with grace and strength.
My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing from psychodynamic therapy, humanistic therapy, and mindfulness. I have particular experience working with grief, identity exploration, chronic illness, spirituality, LGBTQ health, and women’s health. I also work with clients who feel disconnected from their purpose or who are navigating major shifts in their sense of self. Our work will begin with your story, and from there, we will collaboratively create a plan to address your goals. My aim is to help clients access their own wisdom, find relief from emotional distress, deepen self-awareness, and experience greater self-compassion. In addition to my work as a psychotherapist, I have worked as an interfaith hospital chaplain, supporting patients, families, and staff during moments of intense vulnerability and uncertainty. This experience informs my work, allowing me to hold space for life’s deepest questions and existential concerns. My approach to spirituality is non-prescriptive, honoring each person’s unique beliefs, values, and ways of making meaning.

I am a family therapist and a certified trauma specialist. I provide comprehensive family, couples and individual therapy. Hello! My name is Stacey Shine. Do you feel like you just aren't where you used to be in life? I like to work with clients to get them back to their best level of functioning. My goal in therapy is to essentially work myself out of a job. I want to empower you to tackle whatever obstacles you are facing. In time - you won't need me! Therapy with me is very personalized. I like to make it fit whoever my client is. Sometimes therapy is traditional talk therapy while other times it can include art or movement. I think each person has a unique set of needs and my goal is to try and meet those needs as best as I can.
Everyone has a story. I am a person-centered licensed professional counselor who believes in collaborative work with the client. I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as well as solution focused therapy to help my clients reach their personal goals. I also utilize existential counseling, and multicultural counseling. In addition to seeing clients in-person in Knoxville, I am also available online to all adult residents of TN for private pay. I believe therapy is a collaborative effort between the therapist and client. While I am a skilled and trained professional, I am not an expert of you or your life. You have lived unique moments that define who you are. My role is to provide you with the necessary tools to help you cope with difficulties. My role is also to help you make sense of your life, help you identify your feelings, and help you become better at expressing yourself with others. Whatever it is you are struggling with, collaboration between therapist and client is key to helping you find peace and resolution.
As a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based treatment to individuals struggling with various psychiatric conditions. Over the years, I have honed my skills in diagnosing, treating, and supporting patients through their mental health challenges, always striving to offer the highest standard of care. My clinical approach is holistic, considering the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence mental health. I believe in the power of a strong therapeutic alliance and work collaboratively with my patients
I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. I don't believe that there is a limit to human capacity. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because they are unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way. Which means that I think you can unlearn the faulty behaviors and replace them with healthy ones. I don't discriminate against anyone. I make it a point to participate in community actions that support the LGBTQ community. If you want to learn more about how I can help, shoot me a message.
I have been crossing lines of different cultures and expectations for my whole life, and helping others to do so too. My best work is with helping people manage borderline symptoms, depression/anxiety, "oppositional-defiant" behavior, and/or ADHD. I care a lot about strong foundations in the original ideas of the different treatment modalities I use, like CBT, ACT, or DBT (the original "lore," if you will). At the same time, I'm always looking for connections to the various stories and narratives my clients find meaningful in your own everyday lives, whether it's from anime, the Bible, historical figures, or any mix.
Licensed to offer therapy services in Virginia, Tennessee, and Michigan, Dr. Honeycutt is often sought out due to the advanced IFS (Level 3) training he received in 2010 under the model's founder, Dr. Richard Schwartz. With particular interest in how the ancient Judeo-Christian understanding of the psyche (soul) overlaps with modern theories of mental health, he has spoken on this subject at conferences, educational seminars, and university classrooms. Approaching work with clients from a Christian framework of psycho-spiritual health, Dr. Honeycutt combines modern-day techniques and psychological research with an ancient understanding of the human condition as created by God. Non-Christian clients who are interested in such an approach are also welcome. Sessions are typically offered online for those living outside the Lynchburg area.
I work with folks navigating various life and identity-related stressors, significant life changes, trauma, depression, and anxiety. Being in school comes with its own unique challenges, while daily personal and global issues are still showing up and impacting us. I've worked with folks from many walks of life, and have extensive experience supporting people in the LGBTQIA2S+ community. My modalities encompass various forms of talk therapy, as well as somatic therapy, ecotherapy, and Brainspotting.

I have had a wide variety of clinical experience working with clients through trauma and PTSD, depression, anxiety, neurodivergent stress, life transitions and existential stress, and work/life/school stress. Additionally, I have worked with client presentations and experiences including multicultural, LGBTQIA+, and other identity considerations and related stress including internalized oppression, working through impacts from sexual assault, combat trauma, and other trauma responses, as well as many un-categorized experiences of clients that affect their inner and external worlds. I use several evidence-based practices (e.g., Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy) as well as integrating these and other therapies within less structured (or more structured!) treatment.
