I specialize in treatment for anxiety and OCD. I help people understand and embrace their anxiety instead of constantly worrying about whether things are going to be okay. Together, I can help you tackle the internal judgments, assumptions, and fears that have been keeping you stuck and learn to stay in the moment instead of focusing on the “what-ifs.” Therapy with me will help you to: * Identify, understand and change unhelpful actions and behaviors * Stop avoiding people, places and things so that you can re-engage your life in a meaningful way * Learn and implement practical skills to reduce and manage constant worrying * Develop healthier, more effective ways of coping * Face and overcome your fears * Live a fuller life! Let’s work together to make sure that your anxiety or OCD is no longer an obstacle to moving forward in your life.
I provide highly specialized, action-oriented, individualized psychological treatment based on your goals and challenges. I maintain a small caseload so I can provide the highest quality evidence-based treatment within the framework of a client-centered and recovery-oriented approach. I specialize in treating: depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, psychosis, and serious mental health challenges. I completed my postdoctoral fellowship at the Aaron T. Beck Psychopathology Research Center within the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. I have advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I worked with and received supervision from Dr. Aaron Beck one of the creators of CBT and CT-R. I am also faculty at The Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
Most of my clients are the ones who hold it all together. Thoughtful, capable, high-achieving — and quietly overwhelmed. If anxiety, OCD, or old patterns are running the show beneath the surface, and you're ready to actually do something about it, this is a space for that. I blend CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed approaches — not a one-size-fits-all formula, but a mix built around what you actually need. We build concrete skills for managing anxiety in real life while also getting to the root of the patterns keeping you stuck. You don't have to keep carrying the mental load alone. Reach out today — let's move past getting by and build something that actually holds. *Insurance & Fees* I am in-network with Aetna and Northwell Direct. If you have been through traumatic experiences, you may be among the many who continue to carry deep pain. Perhaps you find that you are struggling to live the life you seek or feel like something is missing. The good news is that therapy can help! As a veteran, I have been on my own healing journey. And as a therapist, I have worked with people who have experienced many forms of trauma, including work at a clinic dedicated to serving 9/11 First Responders. Through your courage and commitment plus my warmth and expertise, we can collaborate to help you feel a greater sense of peace in yourself and confidence as you navigate the world. Addressing trauma is my overarching area of emphasis. I am also passionate about working with people with relationship struggles, challenges related to religion or spirituality, and those wanting to explore the meanings of past psychedelic experiences. I offer individual psychotherapy and, under certain conditions, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy. If you are ready to take the next step, I invite you to reach out to schedule a complimentary phone consultation.

I am a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist in the state of New York and received my Master's Degree from New York University in drama therapy. I completed post-graduate psychotherapy training at the Institute for Developmental Transformations, where I also served as Associate Training Director for three years. I worked at the School of Visual Arts as a psychotherapist and for 9 years worked at Bellevue Hospital in the department of psychiatry. I utilize empirically supported and embodied creative approaches to psychotherapy including Attachment Focused EMDR (completed levels 1 -3). I believe we should all be free to love who we love, to identify in whatever way feels most natural to us, and I am honored to hold space for anyone who is questioning what is "right" for them. I am fortunate to have worked with individuals from many continents. I strive to be aware of the power and privilege I have in the therapy space. I invite dialogue and play for exploring issues of cultural identity, race, class, trauma and abuse of power. I am an out-of-network provider for Wellfleet-Cigna (SVA, NYU, Cooper Union, Sarah Lawrence, etc.) and submit the paperwork on client's behalf.

I am a psychotherapist specializing in individual and couples’ therapy and maintain a full-time private practice in the financial district of Manhattan. After receiving my masters in mental health counseling from CUNY Brooklyn College I continued my training at The Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy (ICP) focusing on psychoanalytic theory and practice. I am currently working as a high-risk screener as well as a therapist for the LGBTQ+ affirmative treatment division within ICP. In addition to private practice work, I am conducting research identifying predictive factors for people leaving Orthodox Judaism and have presented at conferences on the topic of disaffiliation within Orthodox Judaism. I am currently pursuing my PhD at Adelphi University School of Social Work. My approach to therapy is primarily psychodynamic in nature. In my practice I take the time to listen closely to your needs and tailor our sessions to meet you where you currently are. Through our work together we will move towards greater understanding of your past and its impact on your life today, this depth of work allows for greater self acceptance and more control over the decisions you make in your life. Our sessions will be spent working to increase your self awareness while strengthening your capacity to fully engage with the world. Together we will expand your window of tolerance by unpacking the feelings and thoughts that bring you discomfort, leading to a more authentic and comprehensive experience of yourself.
We specialize in providing bilingual/bi-cultural psychotherapy to Asian international students, especially Chinese students. All our therapists are familiar with the nuances in Asian cultures and can provide bilingual therapy. Therapy can be a little nerve-wrecking for many college students who are first-time therapy seekers. In our work, you will be warmly supported to ease your way into emotional awareness, see your true self more clearly, feel safer, and move towards actual changes you want.
Abigail is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and young adults as they navigate the challenges of anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation, and life transitions. She understands how overwhelming it can be to manage big feelings or adjust to new phases of life, and is dedicated to helping clients feel seen, heard, and supported throughout that journey. As a clinician, Abigail aims to create a safe, welcoming space where clients can feel comfortable being themselves. She believes therapy is not just a place to work through difficulties, but also an opportunity to grow, explore, and build a deeper understanding of who you are. Abigail draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Play Therapy to tailor her work to each client’s unique needs and developmental stage. Her approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect—whether she's helping a child express themselves through play or guiding a teen through complex emotions. With warmth and curiosity, Abigail walks alongside her clients as they build coping skills, strengthen self-esteem, and discover new ways to thrive.
I work primarily with adolescents, young adults, and young professionals through life transitions, relational challenges, and forging identity. Prior to going into private practice, I worked for New York University's Counseling and Wellness Services, seeing the university's dynamic undergraduate and graduate students. I often see those grappling with depression, anxiety, trauma, relational concerns, or sexual concerns. I have a specialty in working with eating and body image concerns/disorders from a Health At Every Size lens. I have niche expertise in concerns related to bariatric (weight loss) surgery and dramatic weight loss. I am LGBTQIA+ allied and often work with those exploring gender and sexuality. I work from a psychodynamic, attachment-based framework, and blend tangible skills to help alleviate your pain in the day-to-day and enhance your relationships. I am a person first, therapist second, and may utilize my own reactions and feelings to help us better understand your relationships in the world. From me, you can expect curiosity, warmth, and lots of questions about your experience to make sure I get it right. I try to leave you with interpretations of your challenges, new ways to think about your current circumstances, and things to try differently.

Past experiences may be affecting how you see yourself, relate to others, or move through the world. Healing is possible. Many come to therapy feeling weighed down by trauma, difficult relationships, low self-esteem, or unresolved childhood experiences. You may be functioning on the outside while feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure of yourself on the inside. Many of the adults I work with struggle with trusting themselves or others, setting boundaries, or feeling worthy of care and connection. Therapy can help you build insight, strengthen your sense of self, and develop healthier, more fulfilling relationships. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who works with people seeking deeper understanding, healing, and meaningful change. My approach is warm, exploratory, and open, with an emphasis on creating a space where you feel safe enough to be honest and work at your own pace. My style is collaborative and nonjudgmental, grounded in respect. Beginning therapy takes courage. If you’re ready to explore your experiences in a supportive and compassionate environment, I invite you to reach out.

You might look like you have things together on the outside—but internally, you’re dealing with anxiety, overthinking, and feeling like everyone else has it figured out except you. Sound familiar? College can be a time of growth and excitement, but I know it can also feel overwhelming and isolating, too. I work with college students who are dealing with anxiety, stress, relationship drama, and that constant “what am I doing with my life?” feeling. I’m not a “sit in silence” therapist; I take an active and collaborative approach, which means I’ll ask questions, give feedback, and help you actually make sense of what’s going on (and what to do about it). I'll give you practical tools you can actually use in your day-to-day life, and together we’ll work on building confidence and setting boundaries so you can work towards feeling more like yourself and less "stuck" in patterns that aren't serving you. If you’re ready for therapy that feels real, supportive, and actually helpful, let’s connect.
I help people feel better and improve their lives with music psychotherapy. If you are suffering from anxiety, depression, addiction or everyday stress with relationships, work or family. If you want a fluid and creative approach to therapy that helps you go deep to the core of your issues, I can help. I am particularly passionate about working with those who identify as LGBTQIA+, especially trans and GNC folx. In a world full of stigma, with so much pressure to conform to a heteronormative society, being trans or GNC can be an isolating and scary experience. I can help you on your journey to become your true self.

I see psychotherapy as a collaborative process to help individuals gain a fresh perspective on their lives, recognize repeating patterns in their behaviors and relationships, and find new solutions for old problems. My approach is psychodynamic and eclectic, balancing both depth and real-world focus to address the unique needs of each patient at the intersection of their physical, mental, internal, external, interpersonal, and sociopolitical spheres of experience. I have a particular passion working with individuals who find themselves outside of the narrow band of supposedly “normal” identity and desire, including people who are “kinky”/involved in BDSM, nonmonogamous, polyamorous, in open relationships, queer, gender non-conforming, non-binary, and/or trans* (transitioning or not transitioning). I endeavor to use my concentrated graduate study, post-graduate training, and clinical experience in these areas to provide a warm, open, and supportive space to facilitate self-understanding and growth.
The enormous number of stressors we face daily are intense these days: the climate, global unrest and politics, the economy, overwork, isolation, disconnection. All of this is tremendously difficult to manage alone. Anxiety, anger, depression, resentment, boredom; sadness, rage, exhaustion, denial. If you're struggling with any of this -- or any other states that often bring people to therapy, like feeling lost or overwhelmed, relationship issues, lack of direction, emptiness, grief -- it's worth investing the time and effort to get help, get grounded, and find a better path forward. I offer both in-person & remote therapy. If you're suffering, struggling, having difficulty focusing or functioning, you may really benefit from talking with an empathic and skilled therapist (with room for humor). Life is a lot to handle on one's own. If you've ever considered trying to better understand things about your life, the first phone call awaits. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy offers deep empathic understanding and useful insights that can be grounding and freeing. Therapy expands your capacities and coping strategies while helping you understand yourself & loved ones better. Significant change takes time, but often real relief is experienced just by starting the process. Are you ready to begin?
