Emily Gross
As a therapist and Licensed Master Social Worker, I help young adults, adults, and couples navigate attachment and relationship issues, anxiety, codependency, relationship issues, depression, trauma, OCD, and life transitions. I believe that the perspectives we hold make up our reality, which helps me meet people where they are without judgment and work toward realistic goals. I look forward to reflecting, analyzing, and learning about who you are and how you navigate the world during our time together. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and real to better guide you in developing greater self-awareness, building healthier relationships, and feeling empowered in your life. You are encouraged to achieve these goals in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment tailored to your unique needs, situations, and way of thinking. Your customized treatment may include attachment-based and patient-centered approaches to help you understand yourself and your experiences as well as develop practical tools for change. My path to becoming a therapist began with a strong interest in understanding people and their unique experiences and, in turn, how to support them through difficult moments in their lives. Through my work with children, teens, and families in crisis settings, I developed a deep commitment to providing empathetic, practical, and culturally responsive care. These unique experiences and perspectives allow me to bring genuine curiosity, therapeutic wisdom, and real discussion to each session. Outside of patient care, I enjoy a wide range of hobbies, from running and skiing to cooking and journaling.
Sophie Spiegel
With seven years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I work with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults, helping people navigate life transitions, behavioral challenges, anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, self-esteem concerns, attachment issues, and relationship difficulties. My goal is to meet you where you are. Whether you're carrying something heavy or simply searching for a clearer path forward, I'm committed to creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, seen, supported, and understood. When you feel that kind of safety, meaningful growth becomes possible — and that's what we'll work toward together: healing, resilience, and the life you envision for yourself. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to support you as we work together toward your goals. In our sessions, you can expect a nonjudgmental space where you feel empowered to share your experiences, explore challenges, build on your strengths, and create meaningful growth and change. Because every person's journey is unique, I tailor treatment to your individual needs and goals. My warm, empathetic approach may draw on person-centered therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), alongside other evidence-based interventions, to provide care that is personalized, collaborative, and genuinely responsive to your experiences. My path to becoming a therapist began with a genuine desire to understand people and how our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors shape the lives we live. That curiosity led me toward direct work with families, children, adolescents, and young adults in crisis, experiences that deepened my commitment to trauma-informed, individualized care. Working alongside people in some of their most difficult moments strengthened my ability to show up with compassion, empathy, and understanding, in an environment where people feel genuinely supported. I love playing softball and catching baseball games whenever I can. When I'm not on the field or in the stands, I enjoy watching movies and TV, traveling, and spending time with the friends, family, and loved ones who matter most to me.
Montclair Counseling Collective
Our clients are hard working, high achievers — the ones who seem to have it all together but are quietly anxious, exhausted, or disconnected underneath. They've spent years being praised for performing well, so asking for help doesn't come naturally to them. We work best with people ready to slow down and honestly look at patterns they've outgrown, even when that's uncomfortable.
Lia Brodrick
I am an energetic Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) specializing in relationship-centered therapy for children, adolescents, young adults, and adults facing life transitions, emotional and behavioral challenges, trauma and loss, and relationship concerns. Grounded in partnership and genuine care, this work means helping individuals and those who care for them navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, emotional dysregulation, ADHD, grief and loss, legal system involvement, and role transitions. I believe that everyone is worthy of compassion, respect, and genuine care, regardless of their circumstances and experiences. Relationship-building is central to how I work, and I am honored to walk alongside you as you navigate life's obstacles and work toward your goals. I specialize in trauma-informed and anti-oppressive practice, bringing a warm, collaborative, and empathetic approach to our work together, because a strong relationship between therapist and patient is where meaningful therapy begins. Feeling heard, understood, and respected in a safe and supportive space is, I believe, an essential part of the healing process. In session, you can expect a nonjudgmental environment where Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and trauma-informed approaches guide our work toward self-realization, change, and acceptance. I consider both internal and external factors that affect you, encouraging honest conversations about internalized messaging, system involvement, and experiences of oppression and marginalization. This relationship-first, patient-centered style means working alongside you with a tailored approach that addresses your unique experiences and needs. Before becoming a therapist, I specialized in diagnostic and clinical assessment for adolescents and young adults facing mood, behavioral, and perceptual challenges, such as hallucinations, for the first time. This experience deepened my commitment to destigmatizing mental health diagnoses and helping individuals understand and accept their experiences and symptoms. That diagnostic background allows me to help you build an understanding of your own experiences and troubles through non-judgmental psychoeducation and individualized partnership. I love spending quality time with my loved ones, exploring New York City, doing dance workouts, listening to musical theatre, making crafts, and trying to keep up with the latest fashion trends. I'm also an avid reader, always aiming to beat my personal record of 74 books read in a year!
Calm Collective Therapy
Our drive as therapists has always been to help others, and to help guide clients into finding their inner peace at a time when so many - and understandably so - have felt an intense amount of anxiety, sadness, and just an overall sense of emotional turmoil. We work through a lot of things with our clients: how to get unstuck, establishing boundaries, feeling more confident, and finding strategies to work through the anxiety and depression that plagues so many, to name a few. Most importantly however, we hope to be able to help you reclaim your own space in a world that demands you to be quiet. To be able to really live. Unapologetically. Bravely.
Samantha Sampath-Reynolds
I know personally that therapy may be difficult and uncomfortable, especially in the beginning. When I first sit with someone, I genuinely thank them for showing up, both for themselves, and for the therapeutic relationship we’ll work to develop. I want us to explore how your thoughts and feelings impact your behaviors, how your past experiences have shaped the way you relate to others and how you communicate. I want to celebrate progress with you, and to create a safe space for when you need more support. I also enjoy incorporating psychoeducation to assist with applying and understanding the concepts and techniques we talk about in session to your everyday life. On an individual level, I want the client to develop trust and compassion in themselves. On a larger scale, my goal is to normalize mental health, especially for populations who’ve had limited access and face stigmatization for seeking support. I am a therapist at Octave, a behavioral health practice creating a new standard for mental health care that’s both high-quality and accessible. Mirabelle Wostrel-Rubin
Hi, I’m Mirabelle. I bring a warm and patient curiosity to my clients that creates a supportive, nonjudgmental space to explore what has brought you into therapy. Before working in private practice, I was a hospice social worker supporting people facing terminal illnesses and their caregivers. Accompanying people through illness and death has given me a reverence for existential questions and transitions––for what it really means to be alive. I understand therapy as a space to explore these questions. My therapeutic approach is psychodynamic, which means we will discover how your early experiences and relationships, as well as your unconscious life, shape your present. We will move at the pace that feels right for you. Together, we will find the words to make meaning out of your experience. Our work will help to reduce the symptoms that are causing you problems as well as deepen your connection to yourself and others. I am guided by anti-oppressive principles. In addition to my work in hospice, I have worked in community based and outpatient mental health settings with queer folks, people with serious mental illness and personality disorders, and complex trauma. I enjoy working with people who have received mental health diagnoses, and themes related to illness and medical trauma.
Julia Judge
I have worked with people experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including trauma, eating disorders, OCD, relationship struggles, and academic stress. I am attuned to the role oppression plays in my patients' lives and am LGBTQIA+ affirming. I enjoy working with students, artists and people with creative practices, those undergoing life transitions, and people seeking to understand intergenerational sources of suffering. My style is warm and nonjudgmental. I am guided by the belief that each person contains inherent strengths and knowledge, and that a primary goal of treatment is to allow for the expression of this unique experience. In our work together, we will move between past and present to understand what it’s like to be you. We will look carefully at your struggles, as well as how you love and dream. This diligent attention to your experience can result in satisfying and often surprising changes in personal, creative, and professional endeavors. In time, this knowledge of the self may also reduce symptoms such as depression, anxiety, and physical pain. I am a New York State licensed master social worker and graduated with honors from Silberman School of Social Work. I am a candidate in adult psychoanalysis at the Contemporary Freudian Society. I have also been trained in the treatment of eating disorders. I have worked with people of diverse racial, ethnic, religious, gender, sexuality, and class backgrounds. I invite you to reach out to me.
Katie Moran
My approach is supportive, collaborative, and interactive. After an initial assessment, I may start by providing information about different therapy techniques and why they may be helpful for your concerns. I also start from a place of strength — though you may begin therapy feeling low or nervous, I aim to remind you of the resilience and skills you already possess, while helping you discover new ways to look at and tackle obstacles. I’m a fan of handouts and worksheets, and may encourage you to do practice exercises between sessions to work on the skills you’re learning. I will simultaneously help you focus on the here-and-now while pushing you to uncover and repair deeper, older patterns of relating to yourself and the world. I also believe that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all endeavor, and I often employ a variety of techniques from mindfulness, CBT and DBT approaches to enrich our work when useful. My style in the room is direct, empathic, collaborative, and playful. I have significant interest and experience working with LGBTQ+ populations, recent college graduates and young professionals navigating life transitions and identity exploration, and individuals and couples working towards greater relationship satisfaction and intimacy. I am a therapist at Octave, a behavioral health practice creating a new standard for mental health care that’s both high-quality and accessible. Elise Palumbo, LMSW
Therapy is a space to experience a type of listening that can be transformative. I work with individuals who want to understand themselves more deeply, particularly as they navigate grief, loss, and life transitions. Perhaps you have experienced a recent loss or transition that feels overwhelming, or perhaps you want to strengthen your connection with your partner. We will explore your history, relationships, and patterns with curiosity and care. Through deepening our understanding of ourselves, we can deepen our relationships with others while finding relief in the process. My approach is creative and grounded in curiosity, play, warmth, and authentic connection. I work from a psychodynamic perspective, incorporating attachment and meaning-making, as well as Emotionally Focused Therapy. I see my role as helping you connect to the strengths that are already present within you. Together, we will build a relationship that allows for growth and appreciates all parts of your identity. I value the depth of psychodynamic work alongside practical feedback that can help you navigate everyday challenges. I also believe in the power of a laugh.

Are you or your loved ones feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or uncertain about the future? Are you navigating relationship challenges, work or school stress, major life transitions, family dynamics, self-esteem concerns, or difficulty managing your emotions? Or, maybe you simply feel like something isn't quite right, but aren't sure how to make sense of it. My goal as a licensed master social worker is to help you better understand yourself and what you’re experiencing, develop healthy coping skills, build confidence, and work toward a life that feels more fulfilling and aligned with who you are. My specialties include anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, relationship concerns, and emotional regulation for children, adolescents, and adults. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you're not even sure where to begin. You don't need to have the right words, a clear plan, or everything figured out before reaching out. If you're ready to better understand yourself, work through what's been weighing on you, or simply have someone in your corner, I'd be happy to take that first step with you. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you feel supported enough to be honest, understood enough to feel less alone, and empowered enough to create the changes you're looking for. Therapy with me is warm, authentic, and collaborative, as I'm passionate about building a genuine therapeutic relationship and getting to know you as a whole person, not just the challenges that brought you to therapy. I'll meet you where you are, listening with curiosity and empathy while working collaboratively with you to determine what feels most helpful. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can take a breath and be completely yourself. You are the expert on your own life; my role is to walk alongside you, offer a different perspective, help you notice patterns, and support you in figuring out what you want and how to get there. I use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and motivational interviewing, though I tailor our work to your personality, experiences, and goals rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we turn insight into practical tools and move toward meaningful healing. My path to becoming a therapist began with a simple desire: to be the person I once needed. Growing up, I often wished I had someone I could talk to who would truly listen, help me make sense of what I was experiencing, and remind me that I didn't have to figure everything out on my own. That experience shaped the kind of therapist I wanted to become. Today, I bring that same belief into my work with patients. I want you to feel genuinely heard and understood, not judged, rushed, or defined by the reason you came to therapy. Building a real relationship with my patients is at the heart of my work, and I approach each person with empathy, curiosity, and authenticity. Outside of therapy, you'll usually find me going on walks, practicing yoga or Pilates, reading, cooking, traveling, trying new restaurants, or spending time with my friends and family. I love exploring new places, trying new things, and finding little ways to make everyday life feel special. I also value staying active and making time for the people and experiences that keep me grounded, connected, and uplifted.
Christina Giebel Gibbons
As a Licensed Master Social Worker, I specialize in depression and anxiety, OCD, self-esteem, relationship issues, stress management, and life transitions for young adults and adults who want more than just a space to process difficult emotions. If you’re looking for practical tools, greater self-awareness, and the ability to navigate life's challenges with growing confidence and independence, then I am here for you. Therapy, to me, works best when it feels like a genuine partnership. I bring authenticity, curiosity, and respect to every session, and am committed to being a warm, honest presence as you work toward the life you want to create. Together, we'll explore the patterns that may be holding you back, develop skills that actually fit your life, and build the insight you need to keep moving forward. I don't believe therapy is about someone else having the answers for you. At its core, it's about creating space to slow down, get curious about yourself, and develop the tools needed to move through life with more confidence and intention. That belief shapes everything about how I work. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you reconnect with your strengths, explore your experiences with openness, and gain a clearer understanding of the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Rather than directing what you should do, I'll support you in discovering what feels right for you and help you build the confidence to trust yourself along the way. In practice, I draw on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic interventions. Sessions are welcoming and nonjudgmental, a space where you can learn to respond to emotions more effectively and strengthen your ability to act in alignment with your values. My interest in becoming a therapist started early in life. After losing loved ones, I found myself wanting to be a source of support for my family during the hardest moments. As I grew older, that desire evolved into a deeper passion for understanding people and the human experience. Through studying psychology and social psychology, I became fascinated by the ways our thoughts, emotions, relationships, and environments shape how we move through the world. I carry this passion and curiosity with me now, offering a genuine investment in understanding who you are and what you need to move forward. When I'm not working, I love exploring my creative side through art, cooking, baking, and decorating. I'm also an avid runner and regularly race half-marathons. Both creativity and running have taught me a great deal about myself, from learning how to navigate challenges and adapt to setbacks to appreciating the value of patience, curiosity, and growth.
Yiming Yuan - Mind & Body Garden Psychology
I work with individuals, couples, and families who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, relationship challenges, or the complexities of multicultural and minority identity, including those adjusting to life in the U.S. as immigrants or managing the pressures of being an international professional. In therapy, I provide a safe space to explore these experiences, understand patterns, and develop strategies for self-understanding and emotional regulation, helping clients move toward a more fulfilling and authentic life. I specialize in supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, workplace burnout, relational conflicts, migration stress, and minority identity struggles. I help clients reconnect with their inner strengths and build healthier relationships. My focus includes international professionals, immigrants, and minority individuals. As psychoanalyst Nancy McWilliams writes, making mistakes and wishing we had done things differently is not a sign of pathology—it is part of the human condition. I bring this belief to my work, creating a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change.

With clinical experience across school-based and private practice settings, I'm a relationally focused therapist who helps adolescents and adults navigate difficult relationships, depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, and patterns of thinking and behavior that feel stuck. I work with people who are struggling to understand why they feel the way they do and are ready to start making a change but don't know where to start. In our work together, I believe in creating a space where you can feel safe, understood, and accepted without judgment. Whether you're an adolescent navigating the pressures of growing up or an adult facing life's challenges, I strive to be a compassionate and collaborative partner to better understand your experiences, navigate challenges, and identify what you need to feel more grounded and fulfilled. I look forward to getting to know you and supporting you in creating meaningful change in your life. I'm passionate about helping people feel truly understood and supported, while creating space to explore where their struggles come from and develop the confidence and tools to move forward. Many of my patients also experience depression, which often intertwines with these challenges in ways we work through together. In our sessions, a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment is what you can count on. I use psychodynamic therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand where your negative thoughts and feelings come from and develop practical ways to address them. Relational and strengths-based, my style adapts to your unique needs, goals, and pace while ensuring empathy and honesty at all times. My path to becoming a therapist began with a deep fascination with people: the way our experiences shape who we are, how we think, and how we move through the world. That fascination has always drawn me to hearing people's stories and understanding what makes each person unique, and it eventually led me to social work and then to therapy, where I get to do exactly that every day. My clinical experiences deepened my commitment to providing compassionate, individualized care that meets each person where they are. Warmth, curiosity, and a nonjudgmental presence are what I bring to each session in my practice now. In my free time, I enjoy needlepoint, cooking, Pilates, walking my dog, and watching reality TV.

I specialize in treating depression and anxiety, with a focus on individuals navigating family conflict, intergenerational trauma, and the unique stressors that can come with immigrant and international backgrounds. These experiences can shape how people view themselves, relate to others, and manage stress, often contributing to feelings of overwhelm, guilt, or emotional strain. I also specialize in working with patients navigating bipolar and other mood disorders, grief, substance use, and co-occurring mental health disorders. Therapy helps to better understand these patterns and experiences, while also building practical tools to manage symptoms. It can help you set boundaries, improve communication, and develop healthier ways of coping. When combined with appropriate medication management, this approach can lead to more stability and an improved sense of control in daily life. I am passionate about mental health because I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and understood. I strive to provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care that meets you where you are while supporting you in building insight, resilience, and meaningful change in your life.
