Therapists for college students near New York, NY
As a therapist, I provide evidence-based psychotherapy (CBT and ACT) to women and young adults experiencing a range of symptoms and life stressors. My specialties include depression, anxiety, stress and coping skills, dating and relationships, self-esteem, meditation/mindfulness, and ADHD. My goal is to help people understand why they feel and act the way they do, while helping them navigate this difficult world with compassion, kindness, and grace. It was my own journey of mindfulness and self-discovery that led me to pursue a career as a psychotherapist. Prior to receiving my Master of Social Work from NYU, I was working in international fashion sales. When not doing the work I love, you can find me at a meditation retreat, a yoga class, or cooking up (mostly) vegan treats!
The enormous number of stressors we face daily are intense these days: the climate, global unrest and politics, the economy, overwork, isolation, disconnection. All of this is tremendously difficult to manage alone. Anxiety, anger, depression, resentment, boredom; sadness, rage, exhaustion, denial. If you're struggling with any of this -- or any other states that often bring people to therapy, like feeling lost or overwhelmed, relationship issues, lack of direction, emptiness, grief -- it's worth investing the time and effort to get help, get grounded, and find a better path forward. I offer both in-person & remote therapy. If you're suffering, struggling, having difficulty focusing or functioning, you may really benefit from talking with an empathic and skilled therapist (with room for humor). Life is a lot to handle on one's own. If you've ever considered trying to better understand things about your life, the first phone call awaits. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy offers deep empathic understanding and useful insights that can be grounding and freeing. Therapy expands your capacities and coping strategies while helping you understand yourself & loved ones better. Significant change takes time, but often real relief is experienced just by starting the process. Are you ready to begin?
Leading with compassion, our therapists support individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and life challenges, whether related to academics, navigating relationships, questions around identity or self-image, transitions, stress or grief. Many of us also have experience with meditation and mindfulness practices.

Finding the right therapist matters — and here's what sets my approach apart. I combine psychodynamic therapy, CBT, mindfulness, and self-compassion into a practical, personalized framework refined over more than 10 years of clinical experience working with high-achievers. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; you are the expert on your own life. I understand firsthand the pressure to perform, the fear of falling short, and the burnout that comes from relentlessly pushing yourself. I'm not just familiar with those experiences clinically; I've lived them. My clients tell me they appreciate that I'm direct, warm, and genuinely collaborative — that sessions feel both supportive and productive. All sessions are available online, so getting consistent support fits into even the most demanding schedule. If you're ready to stop white-knuckling your way through and start building something that actually feels sustainable, I'd love to connect. Lincoln Square Psychotherapy is a private, group practice focused on working with individuals facing a wide variety of life’s challenges. The practice’s priority is to create a client-centered, non-judgmental environment where you feel safe and heard. We are trained in a variety of treatment modalities including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and motivational interviewing.
There are times when we ask ourselves questions we feel we have no answers to: "Why am I not happy?", "How do I improve my life?" and "Will I ever find a solution to this problem that is consistent and stressful?". Have hope! The answers are there inside of you, waiting to be discovered. I strive to support my clients without judgement, challenging those who are ready to explore themes of personal responsibility, meaning, and resolution. Through genuine client/therapist interactions, the emotional impact of trauma, loss, depression, and/or anxiety can be relieved, and answers found. I have a wide range of experience in helping those who may be suffering from anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions. Working with older adolescents to older adults, I find that combining a person-centered therapy model with CBT, Gestalt, and Mindfulness interventions can be especially helpful. It is my belief that therapy should be an experience of thoughtfulness, reflection and discovery. In-the-moment therapeutic experiments, music therapy, and artistic mindfulness are all tools that can be used to stir the creative process towards finding the answers one is looking for, and the journey thereafter.
We are a Gestalt Psychotherapy training Institute and offer low-cost therapy- our student rate is $40 per session. Sessions can be in person or virtual. See https://www.gestaltassociates.org/find-a-therapist for more info.

People come to therapy for a lot of reasons, but many feel like they need a change from how things are. Some don’t know what it is that needs to change, and they want more insight about what new roads they might try walking down. Others know exactly the changes they want to make in their lives, but they need a safe place to say it out loud to themselves, and they want help along the way. Some can’t change their situation and still yearn to be at peace. Regardless of what brought you to session, my goal during our time together is to work with you to help you identify obstacles in your path. My style is empowering, warm, and pragmatic. I work with people to manage their challenging experiences and connect with the life they want. I use cognitive behavior and acceptance and commitment therapy techniques. I provide comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations, and specialize in evaluating for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorders and autism. I don't know you yet, but I'm excited to get to know you and help you come to a greater understanding of your values and getting you back to living the life you'd like to be living.
We utilize therapies like ERP, ACT, and CBT to provide the most effective tools for managing symptoms and achieving personal growth. We have particular expertise in treating OCD, anxiety, BFRBs, perfectionism, trauma, and eating disorders. Our experienced CBT therapists provide a supportive and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their challenges and develop resilience. We offer both individual and group therapy sessions tailored to adults, young adults, and adolescents aged 12 and up, designed to be accessible in person or through online therapy for clients across New York, New Jersey, Florida, Texas, and Connecticut.
I work with clients who struggle with anxiety or depression and feel these issues have interfered with their potential. Together, we will identify obstacles and review goals to create a treatment plan that respects your strengths. To measure your overall progress, I encourage incorporating your feedback to reflect on what works well and what can be improved. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a Psychodynamic approach to establish objectives, explore connections between thoughts and feelings, and develop insight into underlying issues. Over the course of therapy, I support you as you learn to challenge and change thinking patterns while recognizing how resurfacing relational experiences impact your well-being.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I take an integrative approach to therapy for adults and older adults. My work centers on helping you navigate anxiety, depression, relational trauma, and the often-disorienting weight of life transitions. Whether you're grieving a loss, stumbling through the fog after an impactful change, or simply wondering "how did I get here?" — you don't have to figure it out alone. I believe in the power of genuine, human-to-human connection. As your therapist, I aim to be a steady and honest partner in your growth: someone who celebrates your wins, sits with you in the hard moments, and gently challenges you when you're ready. Together, we'll work to help you discover your own inner strength, build self-compassion, and create a life that feels more aligned with who you truly are. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, because neither is your story. I draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build practical coping skills, psychodynamic therapy to understand how your past shows up in your present, and solution-focused techniques when you need momentum and clarity. I also incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you build self-awareness and create lasting change. What you can expect from our work together is a safe, judgment-free space. I believe in being a real human in the room with a clinical lens, balancing warmth and personality with genuine therapeutic support. Your unique story, values, and goals shape the direction of our work, and I tailor my approach to meet you exactly where you are. My path to becoming a therapist began early. Growing up, I played the role of the fixer, the doer, the "don't need to worry about her" child in my family, because that was where I felt most seen. Those personal experiences gave me a close view of how isolation and shame keep people stuck in familiar but unhealthy loops, and how one safe, honest connection can begin to untangle that. That understanding deepened my commitment to care that is both compassionate and direct, never dismissive. Now, I bring my full, authentic self to each session: curious, collaborative, and unafraid to sit with hard things. Outside of my role as a mental health clinician, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones and my cat, Chichi. I also love trying new restaurants, catching movies at different theaters around the city, traveling to the next destination on my ever-growing bucket list, and dabbling in art just for the fun of it.

With more than six years of experience as a psychotherapist, I specialize in psychodynamic therapy, helping you explore how your past and present experiences shape your thoughts, feelings, and relationships. Whether you're navigating anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, OCD, or a significant life transition, my goal is to work alongside you in a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where real growth is possible. My practice welcomes adolescents, young adults, and adults alike. Authenticity is at the heart of everything I do. Meaningful therapy begins with a genuine human connection, and I strive to create an environment where you feel safe being fully yourself, without judgment or pretense. By showing up with honesty, curiosity, and openness, I aim to build a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, collaboration, and real understanding. Therapy with me is a conversation, not a cold process. At the core of my approach is a strong, genuine therapeutic alliance because I believe that kind of connection is what makes meaningful change possible. When we work together, I listen carefully to both your words and what lies beneath them, helping you uncover clarity and strength you may not have known was there. For exploring how your past and present connect, I draw on psychodynamic therapy. To give you practical tools for managing anxiety, ADHD, and mood-related challenges, I weave in techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). When OCD is part of the picture, I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help you build distress tolerance and find relief from the cycle of obsessions and compulsions. This blend of insight-oriented exploration and evidence-based tools is designed to support change that lasts. A desire to help others has been part of who I am for as long as I can remember. As I moved into young adulthood, that impulse deepened into genuine fascination with the science and philosophy of the mind. Social psychology captivated me, particularly the landmark experiments of Stanley Milgram, and I found myself drawn to the rich landscape of therapeutic orientations, from psychoanalytic frameworks and humanistic psychology to attachment theory and beyond. That curiosity translated into action through internships and professional experiences that shaped me as a clinician. I gained hands-on skills working with adolescents and adults within the child welfare system and in crisis intervention settings. Providing care to patients across a broad range of cultural backgrounds has profoundly enriched my perspective and deepened my commitment to meeting each person with the attentiveness and respect they deserve. Outside of the therapy room, you'll find me at the gym, training in Muay Thai, or exploring a new restaurant. I also have a longtime love of voice acting and rarely miss a chance to catch a new film. These passions keep me energized and present in my own life, which I believe makes me a better, more grounded presence for you in ours.
Let’s be honest. Underneath that polished veneer, the cracks are starting to show. You’ve tried handling them yourself, because that’s who you are – independent, resourceful, and always able to take care of yourself. But the spackle is breaking. Who are you if not that characterization of success, living up to the expectations set by your parents, friends, and middle school basketball coach? Maybe those cracks are the result of you running full speed against a wall, again and again. If you’re ready to find another way around the wall, I'm your person. Let’s be honest.
