I specialize in the assessment of neurological, developmental and learning challenges. As a neuropsychologist and certified school psychologist, most of my time is spent on neuropsychological evaluations for educational purposes, helping students with developmental delays, learning disabilities, ADHD and brain injuries, including concussions. Over the years, my services have grown with my patients to include services for adults with these same challenges as well. I am on staff at Doylestown Hospital and, as a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS), I serve as the neuropsychological consultant to the Bucks County IU’s BrainSTEPS Program, where we work to help students with concussions and severe brain injuries re-enter school successfully.

I support clients with anxiety, trauma reprocessing, family and relationship dynamics, and attachment/ inner child/ parts work. I enjoy helping clients "free themselves" from stuck parts or narratives, build self-confidence, heal childhood or relational wounds, and feel empowered in your own strengths instead of a "problem to fix." My approach draws on a variety of modalities including IFS, narrative therapy, strengths-based, and somatic/ body work. My style is relational, warm, and easy going. I believe healing happens within the context of authentic and supportive relationship. I aim to make our time together filled with curiosity and compassion. I welcome (and highly value!) the incorporation of any cultural or spiritual identity you deem important. I have both personal and professional experience with a variety of cultural backgrounds, and I am bilingual English/ Spanish. Please reach out to schedule a free consultation through my Psychology Today, linked at the end of this web page!

Welcome! Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, so I strive to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and truly understood. Every person who walks into therapy is different, and I honor that. I work with teens, adults, and older adults navigating life’s challenges—whether it’s managing anxiety, coping with change, building confidence, or simply wanting to feel more like yourself again. Some of my clients are high performers or athletes; others are just trying to manage daily stress, relationships, or emotional overwhelm. No matter your story, I tailor therapy to fit your unique needs—drawing from approaches like CBT and strengths-based strategies. I’m passionate about this work because I’ve seen how mental health impacts every part of life—from performance and relationships to life transitions and confidence. As a former West Chester University Division II athlete, I understand firsthand the mental load that comes with high performance, pressure, and pushing through—even when you’re not okay. That lived experience helps me support clients who are navigating high expectations, both in sport and in life. In our sessions, you can expect a collaborative, nonjudgmental space where I get to know you and your goals. I believe therapy works best when it’s a team effort. Together, we’ll explore what’s working, what’s getting in the way, and what needs to shift. My style is a blend of warmth, honesty, and gentle challenge. I’ll always meet you where you are, but I’m not afraid to help you look at patterns that may be holding you back. Whether you need space to process, a sounding board for decision-making, or someone to help connect the dots—I’m here to listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and offer honest feedback to help you make meaningful progress. If you’re ready to prioritize your well-being—whether as an individual or an athlete—I’d be honored to support you on that journey!

Hey! My name is Jordan (she/hers) and I am currently accepting new clients for individual talk therapy, either virtually or in person at Intersection Therapy's office in Center City Philadelphia. As a counselor, I would be a great fit for anyone looking to work on themes related to shame and self-compassion, body-image, sex and sexuality, dating/relationships, family dynamics, phase of life changes–and especially, gender exploration. As a queer, Jewish, creative person, I prioritize meeting an individual where they are in their story, including their particular intersection of identities–whether it be sexuality, race, gender, disability, illness, or anything else. My sessions are affirming spaces where you can wonder about the wonder that is you! Please contact me for a free 15 min consultation phone call if you'd like to get a better sense of how well we would fit working together, as well as if you have any questions about how therapy can work for you. Transitions Counseling Services

Paoli, PA

Transitions: An Athletic and Life Skills Program was developed in July 1999 because of the need to educate individuals across the life span of the strategies and skills used for successful transitions in life. Individuals already possess the skills that are needed. However, they may be unaware of their own strategies and/or their skills are not fully developed. Through my counseling services and the life skills program, needs of the individual are met by utilizing individual or group counseling sessions, couples, marriage or family counseling, workshops, speaking engagements and/or group/team building exercises with all being provided with personal attention. In 2007, the company name was changed to Transitions Counseling Service and Life Skills Program. Dr. Taunya Marie Tinsley a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) will work with youth, adolescents, young adults and adults. Dr. Tinsley’s primary interest is working with adolescents, college students, young adults, and athletes as well as providing couples, marriage or family counseling. I thoroughly enjoy working young adult clients. This stage of life is filled with change, exploration of self, and forging of independence -- this can also mean that it's not always easy to ask for help, and a degree of hesitancy exists to allow even the most loving family members and friends into their worlds. I regularly work with clients that are struggling with major life transitions, depression, anxiety, or eating disorders. My clients are often seeking safety, understanding, and freedom from their negative thoughts. The foundation of my approach is person-centered and humanistic. I believe in the healing nature of the therapeutic relationship and a non-judgmental space to process life experiences.

The families and students who thrive in my practice often arrive seeking support for the very real challenges they face—challenges that can feel isolating, overwhelming, or misunderstood in other settings. Many of my clients are navigating: Autism and the need for a more affirming, strength-based approach that values neurodiversity. ADHD and the daily push-pull of focus, impulsivity, and emotional intensity. The lingering effects of trauma, where safety, trust, and connection need to be rebuilt. Executive function struggles that impact school, home routines, and relationships. Emotional regulation challenges, especially when big feelings lead to big reactions. A deep desire to improve family communication, but feeling stuck in old patterns. What they share is not just the presence of these challenges—but also a commitment to change, a curiosity about their own growth, and families who want to better understand and support one another. In our work together, we don’t just manage behaviors—we build insight, confidence, and skills. We make space for emotional expression, teach tools that empower independence, and strengthen co-regulation and communication across the whole family system.
